Can minimal light beams interrupt the sleep phase of a flowering plant?

Hi folks,

I've a secret jardin grow tent with a separate veg. and flower space. Due to some customizations, the flower cab is not 100% protected against some indirect light beams (coming from my veg. cab).
Does anyone has experience how much light is necessary to interrupt the sleep phase of a plant in flowering?

Any light is too much light. Your buds will not form well...higher chances of hermies....a complete waste of time, IMO. You seriously need to fix the leaks!

If you can get inside....sit there for 10 minutes til your eyes adjust. If after that time...you cannot see your hand in front of your face...you are golden.

Why do full moons not interrupt outside flowering if any light is too much? Your theory sounds flawed.

Constant/ongoing light leaks are not even close to the same thing as occasional moonlight. (or even more occasional lightning) It comes down to nature's natural cycle vs. man made interruption.
Not the same thing. Not even close.

But hey....I welcome anyone who wants to try growing budz with light leaking into your bloom area to go for it if you think the thought is flawed. Have fun with that! Just don't ask "Why isn't my plant flowering? or What are these ball lookin things?" LOFL.

I think its more down to the type of light. I have had a veg tent inside a flower tent a long time ago and did many crops without a problem. But I have also had the tape fall off a power supply with a red diode which caused bananas to form on the plant closest.

I've had red diode lights in my grow room for years, no tape, no hermies, no flowering problems.

Guess I have a funny strain then. Still running it and it hasn't done it since I sorted that diode out. I'm not talking about extension cord diodes though, twas a power pack diode like you get on multi voltage power adapters.
My old veg tent wasn't light proof, didn't cause a problem.

This is the problem with growing weed. What one person does without issue another may have issues occur. Which is why we have hard rules which we apply across the board, to minimise the chance of failure. Then one guy says.. " well that didn't cause me an issue" or " I grow at 90degrees without a problem" or " I removed all my leaves and my plants finished fine" or " I got roots using a dirty razor and my own piss". Rules are there to minimise risks, doesn't mean not following all those rules will ruin our crop but in some cases for some strains in certain circumstances it might for some people.
Are light leaks over rated, probably.

There is no such thing as total darkness in a natural environment
People talk about putting tape over diodes, that's ridiculous. I have 2 grow rooms side by side (perpetual), and there are light leaks under the doors separating the two rooms, and have never had a hermie or a measurable effect on bud size. Yes, total darkness is preferable, but if the light leak is say the equivalent of candle, I don't see an issue.

Thanks for all your opinions, I'll try to make the veg. cab as light proof as possible :)
I still remember that my first custom made grow boxes were also not 100% light proof (with great results though)

Sorta answered something that has been bugging me off late. I'm outdoor, OG Kush, 4 weeks into flower'... Since flower been concerned about the total darkness thing. I.e in a residential area, so there's Street lights (though not in a direct line to my babe) and one of those motion sensitive lamps in the garden ( again I move my babe to be in the darkest corner and not in direct line)

I guess we're all guilty of over worrying, 4 weeks in, still seems early flowering, no frosting at all. I'm hoping shell pack out and frost up nicely. I hear (read!) Our dear plants speed up with time ( i.e week 1 - speed growth 1, week 2- speed 2, week three - speed 4, week four speed 8... Exponential I think it's called!?)

To quote another user 'october can't come fast enough' !!!!

Outdoor buds have always come in more slowly for me than indoor buds. But they get there in the end! September is a fun month to see what they do.

Greetings. I skimmed through.

Plants outside could care less about moonlight.

I leave the door open on the flower room and plants still bud Rock hard boulders.

So definitely not a concern for me. I used to get anal about light beams when I was new but meh...
