Hi,

Dudes i have an autoflower on day 23.
Its an Easy Ryder (lowryder#2 x ak47)
Its tiny. like 2,5 " tall
its starting to smell dank and its very bushy but its like not very tall.
It seems to be growing in bushiness mostly. there is daily growth but its like sideways kinda.

Whats the deal - my plant seems tiny compared to other peoples grows at day 23

Will it still get bigger or is this a bust?

You've been around since 2014 bro! U know better than to ask vague questions with very little information and no pics!

Help us help you.
1. Pics or didn't happen
2. What size container
3. What type of light
4. Grow medium
5. Temps/humidity
6. indoor/outdoor
7. Are you counting time from sprout or from germination
8. What's your favorite snack.

Just the basics :)

As @Buyfrommycity says, it's difficult to know without more info but it could be because you put the light too close too soon. This can stunt autos. From my experience it is unlikely to grow too much taller. I grew Lowryder #2 (Under CFL) and it was fine but then I grew some autos under LED and was given bad advice about how close the light should be so ended up with stunted plants.
Does yours look healthy except for the lack of height?

1) PICS

2) Its in a 3 gal container
3) 5x 20w CFL - 3 @ 6500, 2 @ 3000k
4)Coco 5050 Perlite
5) 77F - 80F (can drop to 70 at lights off)
6) indoor
7) Counting from Sprout - the day it poppep out of the soil.
8) Salt flavoured Potato Chips with beer

I initially though it was over nuted but then realized that coco isnt SOIL! so i started watering small amounts daily to runoff with low strength veg nutes - this immediately helped and she got better and started growing -> if i stop feeding for even one day she shows signs of being unhappy so im sure its the right thing to do at this point... :)

I did lose like 7 or 8 days where it stood still because i wasnt feeding at all - i thought it was like soil... but i was stupid!
so shes 23 days from sprout - but she lost a good 7 or 8 days stressing with no food.

I have my lights AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE. like 1 freaking inch. maybe is too close?

It is only too close if it feels too hot at that distance on the back of your hand.
By the leaves, I would say you are not letting it dry out enough between waterings, and giving too much water.
Put a small fan to lightly blow on the plant and the top of the pot.

@ANC

Hey man thanks for that. Its in coco and ive been told i need to feed it daily - that means water has to go through it.
Should i just let it stand for a few days and see how that goes? ill stick a fan on them to help dry it up

Yes, unless it is very hot where you stay it won't dry out that fast and not while it is that small.
Let it dry out till the pot starts feeling light, but not dry on top to the point where the colour changes.
It is only small, so use little water maybe half a cup or even less so it dries out fast and is ready for the next watering.
If you keep it wet it never develops good roots and will grow leaves with increased surface area to try and dry off some of the water.
If it is too hot the leaves curl like tacos.

oh shit man the leaves are getting bigger every day. its been growing sideways not up.
So ive put a 12" fan on it and im gonna stop feeding. ill just give like 50ml feed right on the area where it goes into the soil but only every 2 or 3 days or if it freaks out and needs to eat.

Ok Guys,

So ive ordered 2 gallon Smart Pots (The fabric pots)
I am going to transplant. Dont come with hate - come with help - how can i get them outta the plastic pots and
into the smart pots without fucking up too bad?

I realize that the plastic pots are huge and retain the wetness. But the smart pots will allow super fast drying and better root growth.

So please help me. how can i get them into the smart pots without them getting REKT!

I'm not sure you can tbh....transplanting autos doesn't often work well. Perhaps it is better to leave it in the pot it is in and do your best with that. It might even be too late to do anything tbh...sorry if that isn't much help.

Turn that pot upside down and tap tap tap
It'll come out roots and all they are tough little gals. Females love drama, seriously you can even break some roots in the process without a issue and she will be fine. Oh yeah and always transplant dry.

I think there will be a challenge switching from a 3 gal pot to a 2 gal pot. Also coco is not easy to transplant when dry. IMO.

Your plant is 10 days or so into flowering. If you transplant it you'll cause even more stress. Growers don't transplant their photoperiod plants after they've started flowering. This is done whilst they are still in veg state. There is a good reason for this. Honestly dude, you are wasting your time by transplanting a flowering plant that has already been very stressed; this is why it is only 2-3 inches high. You are wasting time and resources with this plant. You are better off ditching it and starting again. You'll be wasting nutes etc. You aren't going to get much of a harvest from this at all. Sorry but I'm just being honest. A decent auto seed is less than $10 so just start again.

1. Don't worry about wetness in coco. I soak my 4 gallon buckets daily and my plants are 5' tall.
2. Don't transplant. THAT is THE number one no-no with auto's. Topping is less detrimental. Roots are key for auto's.
3. If you're watering daily, they're getting plenty of fresh oxygen
4. Day 23 is still young for some auto's. Mine average 32-36 days before they start to flower. Slow early growth is usually root growth. A good thing when stretch hits.
5. CFL's are likely why they're so small. Auto's really need hella lights to reach max potential imo.
6. Have a beer, watch 'em grow and harvest what you get!

Hey man i hear ya!
Its not flowering yet hey. So what im gonna do is leave it and plant another Auto so long. i have space to grow 2 or 3 at once. i may as well let this one finish and just have a new one right next to it in a smart pot.

I hear ya man....I managed to stunt a few autos when I switched to LED's and was told by a guy who only used HPS (Which I didn't know) "Put the lights as close as you can"......I wasted more seeds than I care to remember.
Good idea to grow another and continue with the runt as well ;)

Good luck man!
