#uck I miss it....

I registered on this forum in 2013. I don't grow...but I use too. I grew indoors from 1998 to 2007. That last year I got busted by getting greedy and careless although there were other factors. I used to frequent the overgrow and cannibus daught com forums in those days. I grew Fantasma, WW from DP, AK-47 from Sagarmatha, various kush from BOG, and dozens of my own concoctions and other European breeder varieties. I'm 49 years old and I miss growing. Give me Pro-mix BX and some 1000wt lights and full spec ferts and 55-60 days and id create love for myself and dozens of other people. It was therapy. I'd sit in my grow areas for hours at a time...looking for ways to improve and watching them grow. I was good at it. It gave me peace of spirit, mind, and financial security.
I have none of that now.
I'm at a time in my life where I think I should say #uck it and grow again. I'm 10 years wiser now since getting convicted of cultivation over 5 plants, possession, and paraphernalia. A lot has changed in products and genetics. Any comments and suggestions??

Life is full of trade offs, only you can make that call. If you can go someplace legal, no worries, otherwise play it smart and be stealthy. I certainly understand your sentiment!

Well if you fill comfortable then I say go for it things got a little more colorful in cannabis I'd grow something new and maybe one of your old faves for fun and if you do a journal all chime in

Y'all ever sit amongst your babies and just watch them grow? I miss that. At 4 weeks or so in veg...I'd see them grow and reach for the light. They'd move almost while watching. Heck I'd read grow magazines and look at catalogs and talk to my babies. It was a passion... I live in KY where its illegal still. Like I said I'm 49 and never understood why it is. While alcohol, heroin and opioid's kill people around me....ive yet to see anyone ever die or suffer anything that wasn't legal related from weed. Thanks for the replies. I'm not expecting any enlightenment...I just needed to hear encouragement from the current grow culture (you guys/gals) lol... I was a dedicated grower. I'd flip EVERY leaf on every plant looking for spider mites....and I'd do it often! It was love and passion.

I don't know what I'd do if I got busted before. I think it's retarded that we can walk a few steps over a border and you're good and walk back and get dimed on and dragged away for 5 years when you didn't do shit to anyone.

I used to give samples of my grows to a friend of mine but I don't think I'd do that again just because... To me, growing is more fun than smoking but smoking my own grow ain't bad either.

Dude. No worries here in KY. They don't care as much. Just keep it to 4 plants. Even people that go over 4 still just get a slap on the wrist. If its under so much they don't even arrest anymore. I got a buddy that got caught with 10 and just got a ticket.

Same for possession. I don't remember how much but as long as its personal use its a ticket.

They are more worried about the pills and meth now.

I kind of have the same story as you, 46 years old grew a lot with a HPS in the 1990's then a few random grows until a few years ago when I started up again.
My biggest mistake was I forgot I was a noob again and jumped in not realizing that I didn't know everything and forgot a lot. My first grow was 6 plants of Green Crack under 2 1000 watt I power cheap lights. total weight was 1.5 pounds ( I was very lucky). However my second grow was a waste and then I started to read about different lights and bought blurpies. They were a huge mistake and a waste so the third grow was done with vert CMH lights, 6 400 watt lights yielded about 2 pounds. Then started to over read and kept on trying to upgrade to better and better before I saw the results so now I have a few QB304s a few QB288s a few Vero 29s and a bunch of CLU48s. I also kept 2 of the CMH lights growing. I am happy with my current lights but in hindsight I would have skipped the 1000 watt HPS and blurpies. I am sure I will be upgrading the CLUs soon but what I love about COB LEDs is you can use parts off your old light to make your new ones.
I found that a lot of people love their methods and light on Rollitup but after looking at their pics you can weed out the guy that swears by his $100 Amazon Blurpie and go with something better, and the best resource on this board is you can talk to some of the guys that make the lights directly and see what they have to say, I personally have talked to many and they are very cool with dumb questions.

For sure. For the most part they just don't care anymore.

Follow the basic rules. Tell no one. Don't sell. Definitely don't sell from where you grow if you do sell. Good carbon filter.

Secondary filter for the room outside of tent or whatever growing in.

Back up electric in case the power goes out. I got a deep cycle battery and inverter. My power went out and in half an hour the whole house stunk.
