I agree 420% maurice,
Yes, I plan to put another 2x4 panel between the 2 rows of plants with leds on both sides, shining on both rows of plants. My 2x4 light Is slightly too wide so it will be more of a parallelogram than a rectangle when I get it installed.they look fine..they will grow fast closer to the ights..
are you gonna do any vertical strips between the plants and not just top and outter sides?
that will help too..
at anyrate you are doing a good experiment and its working
Funny, Does anyone follow GrandMasterLevel? He is a grow guru on Utube. He is the reason i strip my plants now.Yeah, I know man. I plan on getting a 3x3 down the road. up in the air with 2x4 or 3x3. But I also like my lights higher. another thing, Im going to experiment with Solexx greenhouse panels. They diffuse light making the light HEALTHIER for the plants, giving a better break of the spectrum spread.
cant wait to see this man,Yes, I plan to put another 2x4 panel between the 2 rows of plants with leds on both sides, shining on both rows of plants. My 2x4 light Is slightly too wide so it will be more of a parallelogram than a rectangle when I get it installed.
The guy they interviewed is on here; @Stephenj37826Funny, Does anyone follow GrandMasterLevel? He is a grow guru on Utube. He is the reason i strip my plants now.
anyways, he has a weekly show and they have a guest that makes the QBs. The dude just mentioned exactly what i said above about the diffusion using Greenhouse panels for FULLER penetration and spectrum sharpening. Where growers are using much brighter light then needed, then diffusing it to get healthier, stronger plants.
Another thing they mentioned, is about praying leaves. Last week, I mentioned something to someone about the plants praying all the time. But what I discovered was, they pray at the same time, everyday. So one day, i adjusted my light schedule, to put an hour ahead, to see if they still prayed after exactly 9 hours of light. Sure enough, 9 hours later, they prayed. So, To me, I took it as the plant is satisfied with the daily needed protons, and anything after that would be useless, especially in flower. This was all speculation on my findings of this plant.
This dude just said, when they pray, they are happy, and have enough light for the day, and pray because the leaves under the top leaves can get light.
This is why i said, maybe even in this thread, that when they pray, dim the light to 50% or even 25% and save power, or turn them off. Which is also beneficial because alot of growth happens at night, More sleep..
Toot, lol...
Dang, that's with 100 watts of side light? How much overhead? I have 400 watts total for my perimeter side lights, and 360 for the 'divider' light plus 720 watts overhead. Is 2 pounds yield out of line for an attainable goal? If I am actually using 1000 or more watts, that less than 1 gram per watt for 2#. 5 of the 6 plants are in 7 gallon smart pots and 1 in a 5 gallon pot. It seems to me the limiting factors are: the size of the grow room, and most importantly, grower's skill. Not a perty picture but here's a rough idea of what happens w/ 100w of strips. The lights 4' long & had 2 Flo plants to light. Here's one.
They contributed to quite a bit of extra yield. Was funny cuz they were practically blocked out by all bud. View attachment 4004210
Well, that plant's getting 50 of the 100. It's a 100w light. Here's the plant itself. Think my ole lady cut into it a bit taking down the other one. Running 300w of Cobs from my Amare above. The one cut today appears to be over a # but you never know.Dang, that's with 100 watts of side light? How much overhead? Fucking A awesome!!!I finished the 4th perimeter fixture

And decided the 46" strips are not worth the hassle hanging between the plants since those strips/fuxture just will not fit, so I am building a 43" wide x 23" fixture using 15 of the 22" strips, similar to the overhead fixtures, but with 8 strips facing one way and 7 facing the other to hang between the 2 rows of plants.

That's Cool! Soft cobs or 10w diodes?Man the one i have in flower just wont quit Praying. Even when the soil has been dry lol
