Curing musky smell

Hi everyone, I'm having some problems with the dry and cure and worried mould might be setting in.

I've been hanging it 6 days and felt pretty crispy outside so last night i put in jars, was all smelling a bit musky, this morning it was more of a damp musky smell so I took it all out and laid it on paper.

It's all been in my tent with very good air circulation. Problem is my area got to around 70% rh in the last couple of days and I don't have a dehumidifier.

When I squeeze and tear bits it's smelling really pungent and dank.

So what's anyone's opinion? Is the musk the dreaded mould or will it cure out?

Thanks for reading

before putting your bud in jars ensure its dry first

snap a stem...it should snap like a chicken leg

mold just likes a high humidity and temps around 15c/40f

good luck

Dry it more. 70% is a bit high humidity.

With it that high it may take closer to 7-10 days.

If you mess up it would better to be on the dry side than wet and get mold. Do you see any mold?

I have a 30x jewellers loupe and a pocket microscope for checking tricomes. It comes in handy for checking for pests and mold.

Thanks for the replies guys, and the advice whitebb. I've had a good look through and found mould inside a couple of buds, looks like wispy spiders web and the inside has turned brown so they're now in the bin. A couple of others have turned brownish inside but no signs of mould.
