The forests could use the rain, so a shower or two here and there couldn't hurt too bad. Happy flowering season.

Ps. The leaf blower came in very handy to remove all the shit that's been rained down lately.

Haha I have been using an electric leaf blower to blow off all the ash on my plants. It's a weak powered blower but works perfectly for getting all the birch crap and ash off the leaves . Is the ash harmful at all to the plants? I heard the ash could be beneficial to the soil?
 
We have a bunch of solar lights in our yard, and some of them stopped lighting up -- between the ash settling on the panels and the lack of strong sunlight due to the smoke, they didn't get enough of a charge. I assume its effecting the plants in a similar way. Last estimate I read they thought the Eagle Creek fire might be "under control" by 9/30, no telling how long it will burn for though. And I just saw that the winds are shifting, but instead of clearing out our air its going to bring up smoke from southern Oregon. Hell of a fire season.

All of my autos are done, dried, and curing. Nothing impressive there, but I'm glad I tried a few. I've got one pair of Amnesia Hashplants that I'm hoping will finish decently. That's pretty much all I've got going at this point.

All because a couple of teenagers were throwing smoke bombs at a bird's nest. Next thing you know smoke is bellowing up from the canyon. My plants sit on a porch behind my house and get maybe 4-5 hours of direct sunlight a day and that seems to be sufficient. Hopefully the winds keep pushing east against the fire and keep it from getting closer to the city

The Black? In back...the Black is supposed to be an Indica But it has all Sativa phenos and traits...

Yep, as far as I know.

FFOF soil, roots organic nutrient line.

I'm kinda overwhelmed by the size at this point. I have little room to move around them to water and spray. I can't complain I guess, its a good problem to have.

That Fox Farms OF is incredible stuff.....it really is. For every stage of growth my plants have just done incredible. With the exception of the first initial transplant front Clone cube to its 4 inch soil cup. They get a smidged burnt but always grow right past it. Add a little perlite and Worm Cast and im golden :)
 
Well I came home from lunch to a bit of a disaster- a big branch busted off one plant and another plant knocked over by wind. I've doctored them up as best I can and moved them under cover, I think they'll be fine for one night. I also have 2 fans blowing on them.

Where are you located in oregon? We haven't had very much wind here in pdx
 
that plant has blown over twice now- it's 6.5' and top-heavy and it's in a 15gal. pot which has a rather small footprint
 
I've got my big girl outside in a 15 gal pot. Currently 5 ft tall but nearly 6 ft wide.....ive got the big heavy branches tied down to bamboo sticks for reinforcement . Still worry me a bit though with the crazy weather we have had this year
 
This year I put mine in 48" tall home made tomato cages... I learned from previous years... Chernobyl I even had to tie with rope and 4 steel fence posts. Buds are getting fatter and starting to smell... I love this time of year.

My chernobyl is rockin' too, it smells like lime sherbert

The branch that broke off my HDF isn't going to make it, I think I'm going to cut it off
