What's up RIU.
Haven't been on in a while, I've been working on a little project.
The cabinet is great, but I need more space. So I've added a 4x4 tent to the lineup!
I put together this setup on as tight of a budget as I could manage while still using decent quality products, and I'm pretty happy with the results. Check it out and let me know what you think!
First step was to turn this pile of parts into a half-ass grow light. 9 CLU048-1216s powered by 3 MW 240s. Big shoutout to @CobKits for the excellent service and quick shipping!
I just thought this was a cool pic.
Frame coming together. I didn't cut any of the bars because I'm in an apartment complex and most people don't seem to enjoy the soothing sounds of an angle grinder for some reason...
Fans mounted and wired. I went with the Alpine 11 Plus CPU coolers because at $11 a pop, and free two-day shipping, they were about $100 less than the best deal on pin sinks I could find. Dolla dolla bill yall.
COBs, holders, and reflectors mounted. Starting to look like something.
Control panel I put together from scrap wood to manage everything. Second timer is for the flood and drain pump. There will be a temp controller for the exhaust in that blank space, and I've got plenty of outlets and USB ports. I can control the whole setup from outside the tent. Factoring in around 6% driver loss, 700w should be more than enough. Amp draw on point.
It works! COBs spaced about 14" on center, run at about 80w ea. maxed out.
Almost complete. Just a few more things to tidy up and I'll be ready to roll. Bought the flood tray off a guy locally and it came with a table, which was nice, but the legs were garbage, so I redid them with 4x4s and 3/8" bolts for strength and portability.
First run in the tent starts asap. Thoughts and opinions are welcome!
