Did I buy the right rig for dabs?

Im new to dabbing, just tried my first yesterday when I bought this rig and I'm starting to wonder if I bought something that's suppose to be used for crack or something.. The dab oil seems to fall right down into the water too.. can i dump the water out and dry and desperate the fresh looking dabs in the water or will it be harsh and gross? Also if this is wrong then what am I looking to buy? I have a reg bong besides this little rig.

On second look I think all that rosin is stuck on the inside unfortunately.. also when I hit these they seem to only put off smoke for a quick second and then pretty minimal but I heat the glass for quite a while with my lighter torch, probably atleast a minute. Is that typically long enough?

I know I should've did some researching bef9re buying it but I just woke up yesterday with a sudden urge and decided today's the day that I try a dab lol
Plus I had a shit ton of other things to do so I really didn't have time to stop and watch videos or read

Your nail needs to be "glowing" hot. Let that bulb that goes over the nail fill up with vapor before you start inhaling. You need more heat. I use the Coleman propane cylinders and a torch attachment.

The rig is fine, but the nail and dome setup has become somewhat obsolete, and the quartz banger has become the de facto standard oil rig attachment. I would suggest looking for a 45 degree 18mm female quartz banger, and keep your nail and dome as backup. With the nail, you have to hit it with the nail perfectly vertical, or the dab will just run right off before vaping fully. If you are hitting it with the rig standing straight up and down on a table, and the nail is at a 45, then yeah, you're going to lose a lot of oil.



The ones pictured above are 3mm thick, but I would suggest 2mm thick if you can find one.

I got all the rigs and titanium a boy could want along the way, yet I still rely on my ole standby with every solo use.
ceramic soldering tip, glass straw for the inhale, puddle plunge, ahhhhhhh

I like the white rhino is the fact you can use it multiple ways I've tried it on one of my little hookahs it was great
