Well here it goes, my first grow. Pretty excited about it after spending a week on this website taking in knowledge. I'm pretty sure i spent more time reading forums on this website than my own bible.
Lets first start with the grow room~
its a very old IBM computer (windows 95) that i stripped and lined the inside with insulation. The computer itself is 14.5"L x 7.5"W x 14"H. After adding the insulation the inside shrunk to 11.5"L x 6.75"W x 13"H.
Small space but im sure it will suffice after reading other successful growths. Inside I am using a single CFL 3000K light and the original 3.5" computer fan blowing air out of the case (hooked up to the original power switch in the back!).
Reading other posts people have asked many questions on how to wire a computer fan to simply plug in your outlet. There are only two wires, positive (+) and negative (-). First you want to find out what voltage you need to power the computer fan, and usually it says so right on the fan itself. In this case i needed an input of 120V AC and an output of 6V DC. The input would be your wall outlet and the output would be your powersource to the fan.
Cut the end of your AC/DC adaptor off and pull apart the two wires. Repeat the same to the switch and fan.
Find out what wire is (+) and (-). The (+) usually has a stripe on it. Repeat the same to the switch and fan.
Now we need to find out what wires connect to what to make this thing work. The first two wires go as such...
Take the (+) wire from the adaptor and connect (splice) it with the (+) wire from the switch. Take the (-) wire from the switch and splice with the (+) wire of the fan. Take the (-) wire from the fan and splice with the (-) wire on the adaptor, and thats it! Plug in the adaptor and test that shit out! Ill post a simple diagram then.
(Note: to ensure a solid connection twist the wires together and then use a soldering iron to solder them together. Use very little force and pull on the two wires to see if they will hold up. Take some electrical tape and wrap it around where you just soldered, make sure there is NO exposed part to the wire beings there will be humidity inside the PC and the last thing you want is a fire started due to illegal activity!)
Now lets get this thing rolling....

I started the Germ process by putting 8 seeds into a 5oz cup with water to help soften the seed casing. I covered it with a mug to have complete darkness. About 12 hours later i removed the mug and discovered 6/8 seeds sunk to the bottom. I then took those seeds and started the paper towel technique and put them in the PC case for 24 hours of darkness.

I checked on the seeds and I took two seeds with the longest root and decided to plant them. The containers that they are in are 24oz tupperware dishes that I had laying around. I watered them thoroughly and closed up the PC case, plugged in the light and fan into a 24 hour wall timer and turned that shit on. I decided to go with 24/0 till flowering.
TOTAL COST- $12.17 (Light and Timer from Lowes!) everything else was just around the house waiting to be used.
