Aussie Growers Thread

He's got some good ideas about composting and worm farming as it relates to cannabis as anyone search for some of his interviews and forum posts he's on point about what to add at each stage to get the best worm castings
 
all due respect @OzCocoLoco im probably gunna go with the hy gen one pretty sure genarel hydroponics got bought buy scotts witch is conected 2 monsanto i dont wanna do buisness with them if thay are in bed with monsanto plus the price 5 liters for like 60 dollers fuck ill give it a go ay on teus day ill order some grow might wait a bit for the bloom but daum way i look at it i can use the coco practice and what not my compost probably wont be ready till after summer bught for the price fuck it five liters 57 bucks plust the mediem is like 24 if i like the taste and all of that i might stick with coco indoors and use the compost for the outside garden needsa bit of a top up any way i regret putting leftover canna terra in it could stand there for ten min water ing the same spot and the u stick youre fingure in it and its bone dry lol owell smooth seas dont make good sailors id absalutly love more than anything to have the best soil mix thats possible to have but maybe this coco thing is for me my thinking is get a few sucesfull harvests under my belt i meand shit 24 dollers for the coco 57 for five liters of nutrients shit for the price im def interested plus no til and super soil is abit 2 pricey for me and a bit complicated so maybe this is like a good thing gonna get me some more fabric pots might do one auto in a 3 gal just to see 5 gall seemed over kill last time allthough thay did fill the pots lol this is gunna be funny tryna work out the ecppmtds meter u gotta cllabrate those yea
 
Don't worry gigz. I couldn't figure out pH either. The more I tried to get it right. The worse shit got. In the end I said fuck it. And just dumped a couple dozen liters of rainwater through the medium.

It leveled the plant out. But I had washed too much of the good shit away. And had to add it back in via gogo juice and other small supplements.

Hurt my final yields pretty bad with all the up down up down bullshit. Now I don't even bother with pH.
 
even though im kida making alot of mistakes i put my stems and leaves in my worm bin put the two last root balls in the tumbler tho lol im exited bout tryn coco iv got some thc bomb seeds nex run if the coco goas all right ill probly stick to it as mutch as im sold on true living organics i feel its apain in the arse i think i nned more sucessfull harvests under my belt in order to better under stand all the amendments and ratios and the mycrobes and every thing its hard to understand stuff if u cant see it work if use know what i mean
 
Organics isn't all that hard. It's mainly having patience. And not just chucking in a fuckload of whatever n hoping for the best.

Easiest way is to get a plain base potting soil. And just add ewc to it. Add amendments a little at a time. Not by the bag full, as you get them.

lol i fell ya bro tb honest i never declorinated my tap water if got 2 hm 80s got the second cuse it kept saying error and the sponge went mouldy lol but i i remember the new one has the error message two bjt its acurate im 100 percent cuse i callabrated it for fun like 6 months a go and dipped it in it was saying error but it was in the ph 7 cali fluid and it read seven so ye but i think my problem in the beggining i jumped the gun and used disstilled water lol plus every thing is in gallons n shit like i dont want 2 have to mix up 10 liters of nutrient solution only chuck it out but but fuck it im fucken pumped to give coco a go a plus i hate how there a fuck tone of bottles glad i found this one its a one part nutrient in a year or two funding permitting id love to use like house and garden or somthing but ye if i can get to a point where im hetting satisfactory harvests and can find a good strain for adhd and stuff id be fucken stoked

That was just a bit of an example bro no worries about that hey :). Yeah G.H was bought by the Hawthorn Group that is a subsidiary of Scott's and Scotts were a distributor of Monsanto so although not the same company they are still part of the same system so I got no issue with a boycott,B.T.W Gavita sold 75 percent to the same company,they also bought Botanicare. Don't give up on getting the perfect soil though this just lets you learn a bit more about growing and a bit more time to learn more about soil. Mate my e.c truncheon was about $150 but I've been using it for 3-4 years and never had to re-calibrate it just check it from time to time in a known solution and it's on point,ph pen was $100 and same story just clean the electrode after use and don't use bang them up to much and they are sweet. Ph pen and truncheon are both Blu Lab BTW

Hahaha 3.7 litres to the gallon mate I just say 4 so it's a little weaker but I don't really measure I just go by e.c. I really rate House and Garden but I think there is 12 different bottles not used all at once and it's a well designed system but can be overwhelming at first

Mate if your growing in that compost and worm castings and potting mix you won't need to worry about ph. I've been growing for almost 20 years now and I've never once checked ph of soil or the water.Hydro and soil are two totally different things in my books.

This was when I first started. I was trying to do too much. Got swamped with info and didn't know what to follow.

I stopped bothering with ph ing the water and nutes after first grow. Now my plants barely give me any hiccups.

Probably only the odd nitrogen od or over/ under water if I forget what I was doing- and when last.

And doing your own thing with the compost and worms you'll be able to knock up some quality soil for next to nothing
