Nice man.
When they hit a gd 5 nodes high don't be afraid to do full strength go go juice every 2nd week and seasol every week
I generally try and do a liquid fertiliser feed 4 days after a go go juice.
Go go juice is what primes the soil...then the soil is at its healthiest 4 days after ready to guzzle your seasol or wat ever feed

Sounds good, cheers for that i had no idea how much or how often to use that stuff. Ive put blood and bone, Epsom, doloite lime, rooster booster and gypsom into the soil made of cheap potting mix, compost, mushroom compost and chicken/cow manure. So hopefully i wont have to feed too often but i think ill use gogo and seasol throughout.

yeah i think thats from how soaked the soil was from the rain a while ago but should be better by now.

Yep topped it once. Do you guys recommend topping it anymore from experience?

I top like a mother fucker. But I don't normally start till a foot n half or 5 nodes high...then the first split in the stem has extra strength cos it's got a " 1.5 ft base to hold itself up ...
Then scrog ...ah how I love to scrog

Even if that soil is perfect and with wat u got it sure sounds spot on.. .still feed go go juice every 2 weeks it only keeps the soil healthy...it doesn't get up taken by the whole plant kinda keeps ur soil alive to be fit enough to take up all the goodies in the soil

I like to top a good 3 or so times. Keeps them short and bushy.

I top my outdoor grows as much as I can non stop think last yr a good 10-12 times on the sour

I'd leave it for now and see what it wants to do,unless your worried about it getting to tall.

Im going to try not topping on a few this year just pull the branches through a inner cage,just depends on how they want to grow if the look like they want to stretch straight up I'll knock the top out of them but otherwise I'll let them go

i dunno how ill be able to do a full scrog set up for every plant so i might just top a few times and see how they go. i spose i can think about support in a few months when they are getting bigger.

One thing ive noticed (and I could be wrong...) is that a topped plant yields more but is more susceptible to breaking branches

anyone else agree or disagree??.

makes sense ill probly leave all that till later and put in some mesh around the plant that the plant can grow through and be supported

Some of each awesome...topping works for me as I contend with a little bit of stretch teaching for the sun till they are about 3 foot high

Where ever you are mate u can always put a bit of shade cloth on the cages to protect em a bit
If they get a drink when they need it you could have em in the simpson desert and grow trees

Not near adelaide but we used to deal very hot dry summers. those pop up garden shelters from kmart worked a treat when we were growing on a safe site back in the day. looked pretty derro though
