I understand with mold there are so many variables it's impossible to attribute it solely to genetics....but needing at least a few more weeks to finish up here in the northeast can be a death sentence and has less variables to ascertain as to why it flowered late. Not trying to down getaway but I have been a little disappointed by some of the reports because I had high hopes. On the other hand I just saw a post by sauceulike with a picture of r2 that was finished and it looked damn yummy.:hump:
 
i grew a lot of the same strains this season as last.last year i found a seedbank out of ontario that strictly sold early finishers and "mold resistant" strains geared towards shitty climate growers like us.they all finished in early september last year and had minimal mold issues.even though this summer's weather was similiar to last season,that was not the case this year.i had one finish very ,very early and the rest were later.and mold was very much an issue this year.i do believe that some plants are more resistant,but when a bud is sticky,dense and ripe,and you have humidity...not much you can really do imo.
 
Starting to get a bit more rot. Not really bad ... yet.

I've got a few plants loaded up with seeds.. I'd like to at least harvest the seeds if possible.

On some of the smaller buds is it worth just trimming back most of the mass and exposing the seeds, possibly to reduce the chance of rot occurring?

First grow, so I have no idea when these seeds are going to be ready... Any estimates would be appreciated. Suspected I may have had a spider mite issue, but the pictured wispy strands are seeds or something floating up from a giant field of weeds up wind.

Second pic shows browning in one area, but unsure if this is just normal or whether this is a possible but rot location.

I have found, for me the late September to mid October strains work the best. Too hot and humid in late August and early September

Now my experience with mold resistance strains has been all over the place with strains from Canada, Oregon, Spain, holland and Maine. Some years they work and some years they don't. With getaways they are most consistent compared to a big breeder or seed bank. I have worked them into other strains and f2 the phenos in strains that finish the best in my area. With that being said some years it doesn't matter what strain you run, you will lose some to mold. Here in the northeast we have the most extreme and unpredictable weather, especially in the fall. Believe me the last thing I want to do is grow a plant in the woods for 5 to 6 months just to cut it down and throw it off to the side

You can check the reviews of any seedbank and see people calling them scammers. I ordered from them once years ago and had no problem, I can also read literally thousands of other reviews from people who have had no issues and love them. Every time seeds get kept at the border people scream scam! Every time they get lost in the mail the seedbank becomes a scammer.

Anyway, I'm not involved with them in any way and I'm aware some people dislike them but I've seen so many happy customers that it doesn't matter. These guys have been around forever for a reason. I'm not even on here recommending them, I was simply pointing out that me and hundreds of other customers have bought great genetics from them made for our cold Canadian climate.
 
Vancouver Seed Bank is where I purchased my Kish from Cash Crop Ken. I have had good luck with some BC "selected" seeds. I will see how the blue balls will do but I do not have any clones left. I am re-vegging a blue Balls and I have a Kish clone.

It does smell like my daughter's feet indeed. Was recommended by my local grow shop. He seemed confident in it. Either way I can't just watch this happen. Ty for the luck, hope I don't need it. I inspect this 1 everyday cause of the bushyness. Spotted it immediately. Hopefully that is the diff.

YUP! I'm going to finish up this year then i'm planning on building a 16x12 or 20x12 greenhouse. Enough of this buhhhshihht.
Fuck i had a day in August where it was 42 lol. By far one of the worst years up my way. Rippers have been out like crazy it seems too. Greenhouse, i seal up good enough, i can start running plants in there around March/April.
