My eyes are really starting to hurt and i realize my regular sun glasses aren't gonna do the trick. Anybody have any recommendations for some REALLY, REALLY GOOD grow room sun glasses or goggles.

Much appreciated thanks friends!

The sun glasses i have do advertise uv protection but i bought em at a gas station at the beginning of summer. My lights are way way to bright for these generic blue light specials

I don't have 2 bills to spend on glasses. lol
so what you mean by "REALLY, REALLY GOOD" is "works good for least money" lol. I don't blame ya. $200 for shades is crazy to me but it is your vision that's on the line. I would definitely take the word of the known name brands over the gas station glasses.

I had the same issue being around the LED lights, hurt them so bad I could barely see straight for 3 days. Def worth getting some grow room glasses. I ordered a pair from mars hydro (I don't use their lights, was just a good deal) and they've been just fine since I got them. Ordered on amazon for under $20.

That's what I'm talking about. Finally someone who speaks the slang that i talk. I've heard of Mars lights so I'll check out they're glasses. Thanks!

issue with cheap sun glasses is fake uv protection, actually dilating your pupils and allowing more harmful rays into your eyes unknowingly. real uv protection can be found at any drug store. do some research to find which are legit. hint=avoid china

I bought Method Seven LED glasses on Amazon. They weren't terribly expensive. I want to say around $60
Carl Zeiss lenses and 100% UV protection. I don't look the coolest but my eyes love it.

sunglasses are a band-aid for those who bought blurple lights. I've been pointing out for years they are BAD for the eyes. Instead of buying band-aids, replace your blurple leds with white light leds

How about you replace all of your lights buddy. no big deal. lol.

Btw, Other members say good glasses fix the issue, so why would i go run out and buy new lights? Maybe if i can't find glasses that help, I'll go by the exact lights you want me to, but until then I'll see if some of the other members who chimed in are right first.

Did you even read any of the other comments?

Btw my lights are cfl. Whats a blurpie? Are you saying my cfl lights hurt my eyes because of something called blurpie, and that i need new lights to fix it? I'm so confused. What are u talking about....

I would go for the ski goggles. There are "special" shades sold by black dog, they must be special because they cost hundreds of dollars. I'm sure if you google grow room shades or something you will find something. Or just wear shades under ski goggles.

Seriously though do wear something, you risk permanent eye damage.

Edit, ok maybe not so much with cfl. I just wear a baseball cap and don't ever look at the lights.

HPS and LED will make you blind. Fuq that. Do something now before you are at America best getting glasses next year.

Me I ignored that sheet and now wish I didn't. Goodbye 20/10 vision...

It's like my eyes are drawn to the light! I try not to look but they still hurt my eyes. I think any bright light is bad for eyes.
