12/12 from seed or scrog 1 nice plant?

Hello everyone.
I have a grow tent that is 31x31x60, I have a 400watt mh/hps light.
I was wanting to know if I should try 12/12 from seed with a few plants or scrog just 1 nice plant?
Which would you do if you had the same choice?
 
or scrog using two plants?


12/12 from seed......are you aware that it takes approx. 30 days for a plant to mature (staggered nodes)? So going 12/12 from seed is wasting veg time (6 hrs every day at 18/6)

12/12 from seed pretty much means you flip as soon as the plants are sexually mature, if you are looking for a quick harvest then this is the way to do it.

You probably don't want to actually start the seeds on a 12/12 schedule though because all that's going to do is reduce your harvest, 18/6 for atleast the first 3 weeks works nicely then keep an eye out for males ect.

If you scrog one plant, you'll still get a nice harvest and its easier to care for 1 plant vs 10 but you'll also spend more time/electricity vegging.

All it does is grow til mature enough to induce flowering, and you'd have a smaller plant than one you vegged for 16/18 hrs- if your gonna scrog you'll have to veg lots longer.. or grow a few. Your call bud.. good luck and happy growing

Go with several and use different strains.
You'll learn more that way watching how they grow differently as well as have some variety.
Definitely 18/6 to start as well.
Wait for 4 nodes minimum, pinch, and veg a little longer before flipping.
 
It depends on your timeline as well - as others have stated, a scrog will need considerable veg time; much more than the 30 days required for the plant to start flowering under 12/12 from seed. Most scroggers I've been in contact with will veg for 56-77 days. If the timeline doesn't matter to you, then I guess it would depend on your level of comfort with multiple plants in 12/12 SOG or 1 (or 2) plants in scrog.

31 x 31 x 60 kilometers is an awful big tent. Just trollin', I assume you mean inches? Depending on your lighting, timeline, and experience I'd lean toward SOG in a tent that short.
In that space I'd maybe do as many as 9 x 1 gallon nursery pots, if they will fit in there, or as few as 4 x 2-3 gallon pots if you pinch the tops off early.

yes the 31x31x60 is inches.
I have grown a few times.
I was just curious which would yield better a few plants 12/12 from seed or a nice scrog.
I grow just for a hobby.

SOG will yield more per year. Don't waste all that time at 12/12 from seed. Go 12/12 when the plant reaches maturity and can flower.
 
12/12 from seed is a good way to figure out the highest yielder from a bunch of seeds of the same strain. @ day 21 of flowering cut a smaller node from each the best looking plants. Revegg and label those clones. After you harvest keep the clone from the best plant as your new mother.
Caution: 12/12 from seed should only be practiced by high yielding sativa dominant strains. Kushes and other indica dominant strains are less likely to perform well under 12/12 from seed.

I have personally grown 10 feminized seeds of the Grapefruit strain from marijuana-seeds nl . Grown under 2 400w hps bulbs in 6" rockwool cubes w/ hand watering advanced nutrients sensi grow/bloom + AN additives. My yields were from 86g-110g/plant. I revegged clones off the largest and grew many cycles of clones for the next 16 months.

How would the plants get?
I am trying to grow a few plants at once, thats why I thought of trying 12/12 from seed.
I would like to get 1 nice single cola on each plant.
I was thinking of trying a few plants but each strain different.

You can snip off any lower branches/buds if you want. Even 12/12 from seed you will still get lower branches and buds unless you pack them in about 4 inches from each other and choke all the lower stuff out. Is there any reason why you only want 1 single cola? You won't be very productive that way.
