Early flowering strains?

Anybody had experience with strains that begin flowering earlier in the year than others?
Around here the strains I've seen don't start showing hairs until about August, so even with a 60 day flowering period it would be October before they're ready and by then we've usually had a few sub freezing nights not to mention lots of rain. Pulling them early or dealing with bud rot sucks.

I know some strains are referred to as "early" but I don't know whether they're referring to the fast flower time or that they begin flowering early.

You might want to review Dr. Greenthumb's seed site. He's got some that finish pretty early.

At those prices I'd rather roll the dice on some other genetics to be honest.
There has to be some outdoor growers from central or eastern Canada on here with some advice for me.

I understand pricing can be a concern. Greenthumbs fem Iranian Auto Flowers are on sale for $100 for 10 seeds and usually you get 11. If you did a little pollen chucking, you could make yourself a bunch of crosses, many of which when crossed with Iranian will finish considerably sooner than if they weren't crossed with Iranian. The Iranians by themselves aren't bad either and some will finish in mid summer. Have to veg them before you put them out though or they'll go right into flower and won't get very big.

Peak Seeds has some texada crosses for about $40 a 10 pack of regulars. Also Jordan of the Islands is on sale at Hemp Depot. You might consider their bluetimewarp if you want a September finisher. Early Grizzly (Kootenay seeds) is a fast finisher, often by late August, but they don't get very big.

Of course you could order from Getaway Mountain too, he has some early finishers. Good luck.

I'm running a lot of getaway gear this year but slot are finishing late. Go with R2 or anything withR2 in it. Stumbleweed is another early one. Greenthumb Iranians are great too.

That's dumb imo, you'd rather roll the dice on a bunch of genetics that likely won't finish or will rot. One branch will cover the cost of the seeds cone harvest time... I'm from eastern Canada and you really need early strains or your screwed.

Northern Lights Blue finished early for me this year. Got it curing now. Big dense colas but mine got moody due to weather. It smells more like blueberry than straight Blueberry. Colourful flowers

What I meant was that it's all a dice roll as far as I know, greenthumb isn't claiming anything that other breeders aren't at less than half the price.

Serious 6 . By serious seeds is supposed to be good, but I haven't tried it. I've got Frisian duck on the go mine doesn't get a lot of direct light , but the plants I gave to 2 friends are finishing now. But when you say early... how early do you want it?

To be frank, I've been researching this kind of thing for ages, and it's all dependant on your location. I live in the south of the uk and have better weather than the north but someone in Spain would have loads better weather than me.

Here's a list of strains I've researched...
easy sativa, purple maroc both by female seeds.
Frisian dew/duck and passion 1 by dutch passion.
Serious 6 and biddy early by serious seeds.
Anything by hybrids from hell.. a danish company.
Early riser sagamatha seeds.
Sweet purple paradise seeds.

This is just off the top of my head

Humboldt Seed Org and TGA have some fairly early finishers. The Bubba's Gift finished last week for me.
Agent Orange (TGA) is supposed to finish late Sept but I won't be chopping mine till next weekend.
The earliest finisher I've had is Oregon Diesel. I grew them several years in a row. They always finished by 15th of Sept, and one year by the end of the first week.

Oregon Diesel sounds interesting but too bad I live in Canada & can't obtain beans like those . It's legal next year to grow 4 plants per household & I like to grow something that no one else has. The Indian reserve sold clones this year but mostly Green Crack so there will be tons of people that will have it.

Oregon Diesel is clone only. So. Bummer there!
