How will you be setting up your fan and filter? Recycling in the room or vented out? By causing negative pressure in the room, you eliminate all the smell for your little setup.

hopefully the fan and filter will fit on the top shelf of this cabinet. It will vent outside the cabinet into the barn.

Going back through the thread, on 9/21 they all had their first real leaves. So, 6 days after they went into paper towels. So by that math, tomorrow will be 2 weeks. Is it normal for the stank to set in that early?

I think I will go with a 6" just so I have the option to use the controller a bit more. Does your setup eliminate 100% of the smell outside of the grow area? How noisy would you say that it is?

It will just be 3 weeks on Friday from when i put the seeds into the paper towels. Is it normal for them to start stinking this early? I hope that's a good sign for what's coming in the future.

U will have to make some holes and probably some adjustments in there but it will work u might have to get creative

These guys are looking pretty good in my eyes. They have been under daylight T8's since they were seedlings. Today is 3 weeks since I put the seeds in wet paper towels. The little guys were pretty stinky this morning again. It seems that the more the dehumidifier runs, the warmer it gets, and in turn the smaller they get. The smell is coming all from the Blueberry Gorilla Bubble and the Romberry is still odor free. The Viparspectra 300w should be arriving today as well as the vivosun carbon filter and inline fan. Getting excited. If the plants are 2 weeks from the day they had their first real leaves, does that mean I am 2-3 weeks from sexual maturity? I can flip them at that point, correct? I should be able to tell sex within 2 weeks after the flip? Thanks everybody for all the help so far.

They sprouted in paper towels in under 24 hours, were put into rapid rooter plugs and popped up out of there with the cotelydon (sp) leaves in another 24-36 hours. Yesterday was 14 days since they had their first real leaves. so, I guess 19-20 days since they were above ground.

got the light, fan, and filter in today. holy smokes, that light is ridiculously bright. the fan and filter are gigantic. I went with the 6" thinking bigger is better, right? oh man, it's gonna be a bit of a squeeze to get it in there. it's gonna have to go vertical unless I can snake it in from side to side and not have to use any duct work.

I put the light up in the bathroom tonight to see how the little guys react. I'm expecting to see some substantial growth in the next 2 days stepping up from a 2 bulb t8 fixture to this Viparspectra 300. My runt plant has just about caight up.to the others but there are a couple leaves that are curling up around the edges. The 2 Blueberry Gorilla Bubble plants are my strong looking ones but they showed a bit of burn after the last feeding on the lower leaves. The new growth looks alright.

I got to work on the cabinet today. That 6" fan and filter are humongous. I got it mounted inside. I had to remove the shelf up top by drilling out the spot welds. I also used duct tape and covered any light leaks around the seams and holes in the cabinet.

Drilled out the hole for the fan exhaust ghetto style.


Cleaned up the hole and put some tape around the edges so it wasn't so razor sharp and medieval. haha





Hung the fan and filter and it fits wonderfully.



Test fitting the Viparspectra 300. It is going to hang just front of center but this way I don't have to go around the filter in order to hang it.

I hung the light 24" above the top of the plants in the bathroom. Do I lower the light until they show that they don't like it then raise it back up?
