Hermie? and another weird behavior question

So if she? He? busts its nut in the next three weeks, it won't result in disaster, I'm getting.

Night temps are gunna be easier to keep her chill at night time ... last two nights she ran a little warm.

There are tiny TINY new fan leaves growing out of the new bud development in all the new resins/show that is acumalating .... in normal circumstances, these would have started weeks ago, I'm sure.

Although a lot of it was likely dead, the root ball was a 2 gallon solid cylinder of roots to when I did the 2nd and final tranplant to a 4L square container for finishing veg and into flower.

Sorry for being high maintence.

Unfortunately, it's my only plant .. I started with two fem seeds, one tap root wrapped around itself and died once in the soil ... so only way to keep the herms aside is to cut them ... sadly, they are on the new bud growth that I wanted to havest in stage two of the chop.

One more week nutes, flush two weeks and she's comin down ... I will sprout a new one, in half the time, I will get a tripple yield compared to this unfortunately disturbed girl.

The learning experience here is worth a King's ransom.

The education I am getting here, will some day be passed along. A personal friend grows and won't tell me anything .... NO FRUIT CUP FOR HIM!

I don't seem to be able to work the bells and whistles here re: clicking "like" giving awards and what not .. but you Kingrow1 DEFINATELY DESERVE FRUIT CUP ... (check the 1+ minute version of High Anxiety's fruit cup scene)

No it happens, weed is weed either way it will smoke just fine, you cant change them now just accept what they give and progress on to the next grow

Hi every one... glad to have found a current thread on this .. I think my one plant micro grow is going hermie ...

Had a bad bout of fungas gnats a few months ago .. and she lost up to about 10 nodes ... kept her in veg a long time about 5 months .. she accidentally got flipped while in the dark as I was away for four days ... the new bud sites got burned by my viparspectra 450 .. life went on ... I washed out the root ball and used Mosquito Dunks for the gnats and it worked amazingly - but took a few treatments.

The spider mites ... Bug B Gone killed them all in their tracks .. no new life 6 weeks later.

Now i am between weeks 6 and 7 of flower . Four days ago I started Grotek Monster Bloom 0-30-50 and she finally started good resin production ... Doubled buds size in four days I"m hoping to take her down in parts as some areas are ready soon, but have taken its second stage of flowering with new white tric's everywhere on top of about 60% amber.

Because of the constant stressors I was afraid that she would need more time to veg and flower.

Now I think I'm seeing some herm tendencies .. would anyone here agree?

Last night I clipped off a tiny new flower, flash dried and cured it (.15 of a gram) and tried it ... surprisingly .. at that tiny amount I got a great medical effect .. very strong surge for the low dose .. I was amazed (I don't use shatters etc but nightly edible before bed .. so that sometimes can make thc consumption more sensitive for me) HOWEVER .. I do know good weed and I'm very into what is gunna come down.

I stupidly increased the light time by half an hour in its morning and night because I read that we can increse light times a bit in flower to prolong flowering, hence better resin production due to her disabilities from her fractured childhood ....

Now I'm afraid I turned her hermie ...

Strictly back on 12/12 and I am tempted to cut her to 11/13 or even 10/14 to snap her out of it....

Will that work?

Am I wrong about her being hermie? I will include some photos of the healthy buds and that of the suspected hermie sites.

K danka! Gunna focus on keeping the temps right, traditional lights, the nutes might giver a tiny bump up .. I"ll be sure to follow up! In a few weeks I"ll be doing the sacrifice

I have done due diligence and looked at several other hermie posts and have concluded I have a hermie issue. One plant in particular has peculiar buds. Please take a look and tell me if this is a hermied plant. Yeah, this is bag seed I am using to test my new set up, so it isn't to pretty and I would think hermie prone.

I have noticed a few other strange things.
- The plant that I think is very hermied, I noticed when directly smelling it, it smell more black pepperish. Is that a sign. I think I smoked something that smelled like this a long time ago and it tasted horrible and wasn't potent. Anyone else notice this about hermies?

- I also have many old brown pistols (hairs) and several new ones? Is that common?

- Several of the other younger plants under the same lights (are clones of the suspect hermie) are near 4 weeks into flower and suddenly started growing at the cola - like stretching the cola. The nodes are spread. They have already done their stretch so I know it is not that. Your thoughts?

I did do a nute change, adjusted the time of day when 12/12 started, and defoliated all in the span of 2 days. Could that have been a trigger?

Ignore the whole hermie thing and just grow as best you can, if you get a bad case your doing something wrong, just like in this thread with irregular growth. There is so much mis-information that is easily picked apart on a few subjects like hermies and mutants etc.

The crux of it is that some strains will treat you better and some a little worse, if your good your weed will be primo whether its seeded or not, thats what you need to aim for. Just assume were all growing hermie plants but the worse you are the more it shows.

and hey .. a little hermie never hurt any one ... ;~) Ha! Or not ....

I"ve grabbed many a bud and some from government pro LLP's with enpty seed pods on them with no seeds ... .so I think this hermie will be shooting blanks too .. I HOPE.

The next one will hopefully be textbook!

Its like this with a lot of new growers here, they do one grow with basic soil and ferts and it works out not too bad. The next grow they have the whole line up of seaweed, cal/mag, next gen leds, super soil, ph up/down, lime, worm castings, snake oil, high powerd inline fans and what not and they spend the next 10 grows working out what they are doing wrong.

Additives account for barely ten percent of your yeild, the rest is down to skill....

OK - I tried some of the pregnant weed. I think they plant is duel sex and pregnant.

I dried it for only two days. Being some bag seed used to test my grow set up, it wasn't sparkly to begin with not did it smell good (kinda peppery). It tasted horrible and didn't provide any stone, high, or buzz.

Not what I want but that is OK. Attitude Seeds is hooking me up this week and I will get that going.

As for the weird grow at the bud ends on the other plants, it seems to have stopped and I think by pushing the light schedule forward several hours I gave an extended day period hence the but tips grew out.

Did my harvest .. the hermi parts were where I stressed the node nearly breaking it off scrogging her .. nearly broke off two branches that were to produce .. those leaned to hermi .. no real seeds, but when I water cured some for edibles I usually grind the weed, decarb , three layers of water extraction (X3) and it appeared that seeds were neary on their way . I took good advise here who said "your crop will be fine - near end of flower - no time for the plant go to hell." Perfect.

Harvesteda about 35 grms .... great mellow smoke that Black Indica ... two stages for me .. it comes on a tad bit speedy, holds out then the cbd and thc kick it ino higher gear with great body effects and ability to sleep. Anxiety, pain, over busied mind .. all goes out the window.

I am two weeks from harvest on my second Blindi crop .. again one plant ... found some
GREAT nutes and with three more weeks to go .. while i have her scrogged .. the main cola parts are the size of my fist .. which I estimate will dry and cure down to 3 gram nugs size of golf balls.

Fantastic genetics ... grow from seed always so far and don't plan on changing .. too much invesed to risk a bad crop ... personal wear and tear .. $12 /seed not bad as I just microgrow one at a time.

All organic nutes up to flower .. then the flush will be organic as well ..

Current stash from my garden burns clean and white .. smooth as butter and lovely buzz.

Edibles will knock you out.

For sure ... coming up .. I'm just recovering from a fairly serious helth crisis .. I'll put up a bunch in a bit ... from grow #1 then compare grow # 2 that is now about to start its two final flushes .. so harvest plant number two March 10 - 17 .. lower branches I'll keep on for an extra week, as there's lots down there that needs more light.
