Hey everyone, I have a real problem with my 1 1/2 week Crystal and THC Bomb i have 5 plants going (my mazar x Afghan didn't make it :-(). Anyway about 4 days ago, the rockwool cubes to all my plants started to get green and now today they are full blown covered with mold ( at least thats what I think it is). Is there any hope for my plants, or are they going to develop mold. What made this happen? What should i do? This is my first grow, and other than the mold, everything is going well in my mind. Any feedback would be great.

Here are the Pics

:-PGood news....

That's just algae....

Granted, you don't want algae, but at least it's not full blown mold. Go get some black plastic.... Home depot or even use a garbage bag....

Cut out circles with a slit from the outer edge to the center and put them over the rockwool to cover them. It will keep the algae from growing, as algae needs light.

Algae cuts the oxygen and nutrients out of your system and will bloom in your reservoir eventually with light.

Best of luck

You need to flush those cubes real good are your gonna be in a ph battle.I just cover mine with the pebbles so no light hits the cubes. If they all are female IMO from experience 5 plants will be to many if you veg very long. The roots will become all tangled.I have one of those stealth hydros and be prepaired to add lots of water i only grow 4 and vegged only 3 weeks with AK47

Dude thats is awesome news, Im going to cover those babies up tonight. Im glad to hear this is common. Hopefully if I flush the water now and get the PH right it wont spread anymore, right?

Algae will dissipate once you change out your tank.... They have already started to colonize the tank slightly. The ph advice was becuase they can actually change the ph of your rockwool....

I did that exact grow on a drip feed... Rockwool slab in hydroton clay.... i remember the ph was fighting istself a little.... Once those roots get nice and developed, you may consider peeling away the rockwool.
