i didn't see the interview. Listened while driving. Thought his remark about playing retreat for "them" was hella tacky especially in light of the NFL protests.

You don't stand for colors or retreat when inside a building. I checked, they were inside.

Did you see he thought the $5tril stock market improvements that happened because of our previous President had paid back one quarter of the national debt?

Why not just say California, New Jersey, and New York? Because that's what you're actually talking about. So if you guys end the SALT deduction what do you suppose happens in the House of Representatives? California has about 14 Republicans, New York has around 10, and Jersey's got 5-6. How many of those Republicans get elected again by a constituency that feels fucked out of the tax break everyone else got? The dems need 24 seats or so to flip the House.

I still remember the old days when republicans claimed to want to cut taxes so people got to keep more of their own money. You know stimulate the economy by buying shit. Eliminating the deduction would all but nullify any benefits brought on by the tax cuts for millions of Americas. All so Trump can have a petty victory against the states that didn't vote for him?

Given that states like California pay more to the Fed than they take, what would be the point of eliminating the deduction in the first place?
