Update: Just seen on facebook she smoked with another guy tonight. Funny thing is it should have showed up in scrolling news feed to the right but never did for some odd reason. Only reason I seen the comment bc I could tell she liked this guy from before, but he had a girlfriend . Now he has no girlfriend and this girl has been lurking around him on facebook for the last week or two. I think she is a gold digger, I'm def not rich. The guy she smoked with tonight owns a catering business and grill, hes prob netting 300k a year. Also I remember now she was telling my sister and friends how she meet a back surgeon. She came off as I meant somone with money. I won't be calling or texting her anytime soon, I don't compete with d-bags that have money or anyone. I really don't care much anyhow, like I prev said I like my life the way it is currently.. The dude she smoked up said on facebook, "I should have known to only take one hit". Then she commented on it. HAHAHA #firsttimestarter
if you turn your hand around, it feels like someone else is doing it.
put on a glove, feels like a doctor is doing it

Bro - nobody is gonna grow good weed for free or cheap. Those COBs behind me ain't free.
huge outdoor plots, fully automated harvesting, machines that distill THC laden material into commercially sized little tablets that fit precisely into your commercially manufactured pipe...

the future will be glorious and a lot less expensive for tokers.

and i say this as a guy who is still getting 2 per elbow. i can't wait to see the cost go down to nearly nothing.

There's exactly nothing about growing cannabis that tomato growers don't have covered. Trimming is increasingly automated.

The trim gets made into edibles or concentrates, the bud will be fine.

If I had my way, it would happen by 2020.
Nah, with the US gov/State Govs lining up to start licensing and fees for the next billion dollar MJ industry, id say you see the consolidation of small grow ops into huge pharma grow ops, and the price to hover around the $30 per 1/8 mark. They gotta keep their margins, yo.

Edit: I say $30 per eighth as what the individual will purchase it at from the pharmacy/drug store. Obv, a pound will be dirt cheap, but the current industry is moving away from 'raw' weed to tinctures, resins, edibles, etc. So yeah, selling a pound of MJ on the open market for concentrates will be dirt cheap prob a couple hundred per pound eventually. Now if you go into processing and vertically integrate, then I think you can rake in quite a bit but it takes capital.

The US government is not lining up to start licensing fees. Our current administration says weed is as bad or worse than heroin and wants to punish states that have it legal.

They already have lol. State fees went up twofold this year, costs about $30k/year to grow and distribute legally in CA. I was talking about the future when referring to the US federal government - Trump wont be in forever, and weed will become legal. Anything that has lots of money in it eventually does in the US, whether or not the public can get involved.

Only if your time isn't worth anything.
You have a point there. But growing gives me an excuse to hang out in the woods.

It would be cheaper for me to buy pot locally than to grow it myself. If my time is in the calculations. I smoke less than half an ounce a month, so a thousand bucks would do me for the year. I run into the problem of getting rid of old pot. Last night I did a triage, and about 90% of last year's full season stuff when into the oil pile. The Spring crop was enough to get me through the year, so even with my terrible year this time, I will be fine. Especially when my fall/winter buds start getting ready in January.
