How's it going guys/gals? ( sorry for the long story I just have to explain every detail )

Just felt I wanted to reach out and try to talk to someone to see if this has happened to anyone and if you have returned to normal.

I'm a 25 year old male who started smoking around the age of 18 and 19 and have been doing it off and on through out my life.

About 3-4 months ago I started vaping again using a Davinci Iq vaporizer and everything was fine and marry. I did it at nights to just chill out watch a movie or play a game.

Last Monday ( right after Easter Sunday around 3am ) I vaped some hi-grade bud from a reliable source and after that I have experienced something that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. It's been literally hell. After smoking it I couldn't sleep and at 5-6am anxiety/panic hit pretty strong. I thought to myself "well this is just a bad trip and I'll get over it". Got up to eat something to try to bring it down to only realize it didn't get better. I felt disconnected with myself and an uncontrollable feeling of fear/anxiety.

I finally went to sleep for a while to wake up to feeling the same. All of this week I've been feeling scared with thoughts of "did I screw myself up?" "Am I ever going to be normal?" "Am I going crazy?" It's honestly been the scariest part of my life.

I ended up in the ER 3 times since then due to heart palpitations, feeling like I was going to have a heart attack, etc but everything every time including blood work showed that everything is perfectly fine. ( only thing I haven't had checked is my mind ) They also ran a piss test and they found marijuana and nothing else so I know the bud I vaped wasn't laced.

Even though some days i feel better I come back and start feeling depressed and just scared. For example yesterday I went to class and I had to leave because my anxiety was too strong, I literally thought about calling 911 while walking around campus. Only thing that called me down was talking to an old professor I had and I prayed for her ( that felt awesome ).

To mention my appetite since my last time smoking hasn't been there at all so I find myself forcing myself to eat. Sometimes I try to eat and the food just tastes blah. I'm a big guy so eating was never a problem.

Yesterday I went to my primary doctor and explained everything to him and he said it messed with my psyc and to try a a low dosage SSRI for a month or 2 then lean myself out of them to normalize my brain. I of course as a Christian feel condemned of my choices and especially taking an anti depressant / anxiety controller because I've NEVER EVER had a problem with this and I don't take any medication of any kind. I have a good family and there is nothing going on in my life causing these issues just in case you are wondering.

Overall before last Monday I was always the guy who was always laughing and making people laugh because that's who I truly am. I'm the guy that in the midst of troubling circumstances I usually say " ahh God is with us and we will see this through" and not have one care in the world.

Just to clarify these feelings IMHO feel like they are uncontrollable and they just come over me, it's hard to snap back and get my mind off of it. I usually call a good pastor friend of mine and we just pray and I start to encourage myself to get my mind off of it.

My question is has any of you felt like this? How long did you have it for? Any advice? Should I not take the medication that the doctor gave and just ride it out?

I know this is long and just like myself I hate to read but I appreciate anyone that takes time out of their day to read and reach out. I love you guys/gals to death and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for any replies.

God bless you all and may you have an awesome blessed joyful day!

Rock on my rollitup brothers/sisters.

I would try changing your diet before taking prescription pills.

Try a Vegan diet out / avoid meat and dairy and eat whole foods. Lots of tasty vegetarian recipes out there.
And stop all Sugar , all of it instead eat dates and fruits etc

Im not a Vegan don't consider myself one because I eat a few big meat meals purposefully every month so my gut stays healthy , I use coconut milk and oil no dairy no sugar.
A little meat helps to keep the stomachs flora in check

The way i understand it 90% of our health problems is caused by diet and the other 10% is genes.

Wooooaw Dude! sounds harsh. as you must know lamb's bread only amplifies the "deep-down-inside-feelings". You say you are a big guy do I gotta agree with Altered state. Clean out your system. increase physical activities seriously and you'll flush out all the the vibz and excess nutrients that are murking up your mind.
Peace and hit the gym Jack!

Hey 956, sorry to hear about your reaction to the smoke. There are numerous factors that could contribute to your pains.. Firstly, let me bring up the "high grade"-- This commonly refers to the potency moreso than quality. Breeders today are focusing on HIGH THC values and not taking into account what THC does to different people. There are several studies linking high THC to anxiety, not to mention the other adverse effects. I would put my money on the THC. That is what threw you over the edge.
On the other hand, that same high THC genetic could have VERY easily been harvested before its ripening, therefor leading to VERY high energy, lack of appetite, and restlessness in the form of severe anxiety.

One thing I will promise--this will soon pass. Do Not smoke anymore of your connects bud(if it's the same grower/genetic)
I as a young grower had to figure out the long way why my body was acting so foolishly and not normal. After many hours of dedicated reading, the things above and many more are what I have discovered. High THC hits everyone differently. Especially men. Do some reading on high concentrations of THC and of course give your brain some peace of mind and look into CBD ratios and Terpene levels. If you're after something to lighten the mood and make the day more pleasant--THC over 20% isn't really the way to go.
I only have problems with my tolerance if the buds are premature or I burn one(maybe ten) dabs too much(at 70-80%THC).
In this case, not all men were created equal. Thats a fact. But it's not a bad one

There is also the chance you had a minor pre-existing condition. I've heard similar stories from people that have taken some strong hallucinogens. They thought they were fine, but then went on a mental voyage that they were completely unprepared for, as those things have a tendency to bring out previously unknown conditions in short order. Anxiety, ADD, depression, etc can all come in and out of play at different times, and at different levels. Anything can trigger them, maybe in your case it was a heavy THC laden high anxiety strain of bud.

Think of it as a small crack in a dam, that's been there forever without anybody noticing or causing any problems. One day a storm comes along, the water level rises higher than its ever been, and the pressure eventually ruptures the crack, which under normal circumstances would still be unnoticed. Have you been to an endocrinologist? Thyroid issues can cause invoke a lot of anxiety related problems as well. I wish you the best of luck with this, and don't fret about it; you'll get back in your groove eventually man.

I really do hope you're doing well now mate. Anxiety is very difficult to interperet, and can take people years and years to figure out the cause and when people are stuck in a state of anxiousness for long enough...they begin to think they are going to be like this forever, which then in turn brings upon much more anxiety ahaha...it really is a bitch :)

As someone who has taken many, many anti depressents/psychs....don't go for SSRI's. From what I'm hearing you're feeling very de realized and weed, stress, anxiety and being unhappy can do alot to someones mind, especially when weed helps mask all of these feelings that would generally tell someone they are feeling shitty, alot of people arn't trying to hide them...they just don't actually notice these emotions until its developed. Unfortunately nobody can tell you how long this will last, but I can tell you its not permanent...and you're not going crazy !!!!

Tell your doctor to prescribe something to help calm you if you ever really, really need it ! Some people have a genuine reason to require ''fake happiness'', I don't think you do...meds will not help you in the long run and will only delay dealing with your problems, which is also added to when trying to get off of an extremely addictive/sticky drug. Try the following if you're not already, and please remember that you're not ''stuck''...reality is truly in the eye of the beholder anyway ;) Hense why crazy people dont normally know that they're crazy....

- Goto the gym/run on the Reg.
- Eat foods in support of gym/excercise regime to allow body/mind to properly rebuild its natural flow of things.
- Read books or play a shit ton of games to help get your mind off it (some might say counter productive, but dealing with shit 24-7 isnt fun...you want an escape, as everyone does).
- Have a proper sleeping pattern, your mind is the first to suffer from fatigue.
- Tell your doctor you want him to begin Cognitive Behaviour therapy with you...its fairly full proof, works wonders and will help you for the rest of your life. Alot of doctors don't even recognize the healing potential CBT holds...its trains you to subconciously deal with your anxiety instead of holding onto it and letting it sink in.

I hope those help you...your body takes a while to react to excercise and healthy eating so don't expect a sudden change. You're brain chemisty is off right now, you're body takes time to regulate it and giving it all the building blocks it needs will speed things up for you. If you want to smoke weed and this isn't reason enough for you to stop, try high CBD content strains and Indica's.

Feel free to shoot me a message if you're needing a chat :)

Sounds to me like you have a classic case of Anxiety. Get your Dr. to get you on either Paxill or Cipralex. I had the same thing happen to me about 15 years ago and everything is golden now that I'm on anxiety medication.

it could be that you need a strain with less thc and more cbd, some people react badly to high thc smoke. or it could be that your friend uses shit like paclobutrazol. if you know anyone else that buys from the same person, ask them if they're having the same experience

is true^
also I've grown high cbd plants and those are the only ones that ever gave me anxiety. I love racy sativas too, but those cbd plants made my stomach churn, heart palpitate, and a general feeling of discomfort.

Clean up your diet, increase your water intake, do regular exercise, practice meditation and i'm sure you'll be back to normal in no time. And always be cautious with the stronger bud strains!

I second the meditation. When you take a long and unvarnished look at your emotions, you can usually get the reins back in your hands. Yoga is also helpful for many folks. It stretches the mind as well as the body.

Read your WORD bro and meditate on the Lord.
It will bring true peace into your life you know that bro from one believer to another God Bless. Tree

god helps those who help themselves...maybe he help those who need medical help by making some people want to be doctors and nurses, so we don't have to pray to him all the time whenever we get a headache or a toothache.....maybe?

Smoke flower...two puffs should do be enough and I would stick with Indica dominant strains just before bedtime! Hope it helps and you can enjoy the experience/benefits of Cannabis

His pal probably sprayed the shit with Eagle 20.

The dude should give up smoking or grow his own. Take up drinking beer if you do not want to grow.
