I wasn't very specific on the post. I actually mean the ones that are already built by a company that builds them specifically for growing. I saw a 40 foot one fully decked out and ready for production. Was just wondering if someone has worked in one or know someone who's worked in one.Seems tricky, there is a thread on IC about a guy in California he pulled it off but is an advanced grower. Good luck to you I'll watch
wow thats alot. I did some research on the grow containers and there is different produce companies that use them for organic vegetables. they seem succesful. Dont really know too much about growing though. Is the herb harder to cultivate than veggies? or is it pretty much the same?there was a bust around here where the guys buried a whole bunch of shipping containers and had a diesel generator for power. Had 1500 plants going.
The grow containers the companies build have temperature control. Well the one i saw that was for sale had everything installled in it already.I would rather use a refrigerated semi trailer. It's already insulated and has the AC built in.
Whats up everyone! Just wanna know if anyone knows about the shipping containers that are transformed to a grow container. Are they convenient and worth the price? Can you get good yield out of them? just how good are they for growing?

I know the ones you speak of.The grow containers the companies build have temperature control. Well the one i saw that was for sale had everything installled in it already.
Yes, thats exactly what I think. They seem efficient and great for limited space. Yes, also really pricey. But, you can easily make your money back and way more after 2 yields.I know the ones you speak of.
They would work really well. I think they are still a bit pricey but that will come down in time.
yea, they look awesome. the plug and play part is convenient as fuck.I saw an episode of one of those Weed Nation, er somthin er other TV series about those prefab, grow trailers, like a plug-n-play system. Full environmental climate controlled, C02 systems, what not. The upfront cost would require many, many many, donations to be collected from harvest overages, before any return was seen, in my environment.
But they are f'n cool. I'm slightly envious of anyone who has one.
If you were selling illegally and getting street price then yes. Selling legal I doubt it. There is a over abundance of legal weed and grows and not enough dispensary's selling/buying.Yes, thats exactly what I think. They seem efficient and great for limited space. Yes, also really pricey. We know the owner's in this news story. They have been doing this since before the Medical / Personal marijuana laws in Mass changed. They had to sign a number of legal documents confirming they wouldn't use this container for marijuana.
