I'm planing to use CFL light bulbs because Easy to find and easy to use I find.
Is 160 wat ok for veg and flowering? With cfls, atleast a minimum of 50w sq.ft
Examples with actual wattage draw (not equivalent)
2x2 - 200w
2x3 - 300w
3x3 - 450w
4x4 - 800w
Seriously, i would rather use these

Are you using CFL?I veg with a 400W bulb and flower with a 1000W bulb.
Good luck, BigSteve.
No you can start off seedlings under cfls but you won't get much of a yield flowering or even vegging for longer than a few weeks under those. I recommend nothing less than a 400w or LED equivalent for mid veg through bloom phase. Is 160 wat ok for veg and flowering?
A plant will only grow so big before it runs out of light, i wouldn't use 160w of cfl in a space any bigger than 2 sq. Ft. (1x2).Is 160 wat ok for veg and flowering?
What's the minimum wat CFL I need for veg and flowering?A plant will only grow so big before it runs out of light, i wouldn't use 160w of cfl in a space any bigger than 2 sq. Ft. (1x2).
Keep in mind penetration, efficiency & heat is terrible with cfls and will give you nothing like the lights posted above.

Use not less of 300 actual watts of cflI'm planing to use CFL light bulbs because Easy to find and easy to use I find.
Ive vegged with 140 watts of cheap blurple led a couple of times with no problemsUse not less of 300 actual watts of cfl
Of course u can do it but its not optimal for cfl. If u want to use cfl for vegg optimal will be 300 actual watts and up.Ive vegged with 140 watts of cheap blurple led a couple of times with no problems
What about t5? Would 200 watts of t5 do for veg?Of course u can do it but its not optimal for cfl. If u want to use cfl for vegg optimal will be 300 actual watts and up.
