Hello all!
First - thank you for your time, I'm in desperate need of advice! (pics at the end)
Setup:
315 CMH lights
Cana Coco
Cana Coco line of nutes
Temps: 68-75*F
Photoperiod: 24hours (cold outdoor temps, not enough heating yet during lights off)
Humidity: 50-60% (occasionally drops to ~40% if water in humidifier runs out)
Tap Water PPM: 160
Background:
- Plants started from seed. Germinated well, sprouted well, healthy seedling growth in 2"x2" starter blocks (coco).
- Transfered plants to 6"x6" square pots (too large of a step up I believe).
- Started feeding according to the Cana Coco chart for first 1-3 weeks of growth (image below):
- Week 4/5 I started to step up the nutes towards the next feed bracket. (approx 200ml of water/feed per plant - dried out after ~3days... ppms started around 500, then moved up to 1000, then 1300).
- At this point leaf issues started arising (yellow dots progressing to brown spots/patterns mostly at the CENTER of the leaves... where most forums show nute burn beginning at the tips/edges and moving inward.). I researched and found that it looked similar to calcium deficiency and I wasn't using a Cal/Mag at the time so bought Cali Magic and began supplementing at bottle's recommended level: 1ml/1litre and figured it was a deficiency.
- Believing I had a cal/mag and nutrient deficiency, I began feeding full strength nutrients according to the Cana chart for plants older than 3 weeks (plants were about the same size they are now)
- Plants were growing but leaf issues worsened (drinking faster, having gradually stepped up to 500ml per plant per feed).
- The thought occurred to me that I was overfeeding (so I gave a plain water dose - (no runoff) then a 1/2 strength feed the next time). This didn't seem to resolve anything so I figured that it wasn't over nutrified and went back to the full strength chart schedule (ppm ~1300)
- At this point the plants have stunted growing for a week at least and are progressively getting worse.
Now I'm at a loss and am thinking of doing a 5litre ph'd water flush to clear out any salt buildup that may be there and start with a 1/4 strength feed and work up form there... Thoughts?
