Leaves going crispy from bottom up

I understand fully where Ludi comes from. It seems like if you ask a question on this site, or any other, the people all come in like they are experts, but all they know is the common knowledge that can be read about or found out on the internet. Everyone is too busy riding their own egos and acting like experts. Rarely though do I ever get a problem like this solved. If it ain't on the menu, well we don't know how to cook it! I find this with life too. Everyone's so smart. everyone's so good. big ego syndrome. There is very little honesty and sincerity in the people's personalities. Every person you come across is just a bot. A factory made assembly line dufus. Fist bumping you and calling you bro, jumping on the latest trendy bandwagon. Tattoos, fruity hair cuts, coffee, bacon, screamo music, wiggerism, just to name a few. don't forget retro converse shoes and 80s style green sunglasses.

I appreciate the responses don't get me wrong. None the less, my problem was not solved, even though there was a slur of information given. I realize that Ludi may have struck the first blow, but to swing one back make you no better. "But mom! Davie started the fight!"

Just felt like I wanted to point out that Ludi might have been referring to that sort of thing with his "bot" remark. If he/she is, then I fully understand.

in either case. bickering and shit is just lame. we are not children. no need for that. I don't mean to offend anyone. There was a lot of interesting information given from various people.

I've ordered some coco coir, and I'm going to go with that and see if it solves my problem. I'm so sick of buying bags and bags of soil anyways. its ridiculous. I live in a small town too and people know me and look at me strange when I buy 20 bags of soil in the middle of winter xD
It's been said a number of times that your problem is cheap soil. I'd say that if this thread hasn't helped you figure out your problem you haven't actually been reading the posts.

Canadian Tire carries ProMix HP with that fungus that I cant spell. I think I got it for $28 for the 107L bale. Get that and no worries.

yes but it was suggested. nobody could actually point it out and say, yes. yes that's what it must be. no one offered anything more than conjecture. And then came a ridiculous slur of babble about taproot and all kinds of crap that was very obviously not the problem. And so Yes, I tuned out. It was very irrelevant.

and in fact, there was nothing here that helped me what so ever. in the end i went with the same idea i had in the first place. replace the soil. no knowledge was learned, no problem was solved. a guess was made, and we will see how that guess pans out.

With regular seeds it matters more about seedling and veg temps than the length of the tap root...

Also please get rid of that soil or at least add A LOT of perlite on the next transplant. It almost looks like its clay.
Temp, red to blue ratio in the light, N ratio and a number of other things. As far as the tap root goes you can do what you want. I've grown a lot more than just weed and I've seen first hand the difference in growth from giving the seedlings roots more room from the beginning.

Here you go man. I am not sure on availability, I got my last bale in october and they had just locked all the outdoor stuff in the outside garden center but the lady was nice enough to get it for me still. Maybe order online and pickup in store, they will cancel it if they cannot get it out. The small bags cost a buck or 2 more but you should find that indoors in the garden area.

Trash the other stuff and start with new seed.

I was just poking fun at the "size matters" joke :bigjoint:

that stuff is organic eh? I already ordred coco coir so ill stick to that. ive tried a few soils from canadian tire. the one came with tons of bug eggs. fuck! i had fungus gnats galore. never buy that stuff again. once i swtiched the soil i got rid of them. before that i was releasing lady bugs, using isopropyl, insecticide. but they kept comign back.

ill keep this stuff in mind though. looks like a good solution. thanks man

That was a response to what someone else said. In my first post I asked you what your ph is. You never answered.

This is an internet forum. Unless you want to invite someone over to directly inspect your garden to troubleshoot your problem all you're going to get is conjecture based on what information you provide.

If you've been adjusting your waters ph the odds are it's your soils ph. Have you tried the soil slurry ph test that I suggested? Testing the soil or checking it indirectly by testing the ph of the water that goes in and comparing it to the ph of the run off are the only ways to check and confirm if it's the soils ph. Either way, as someone else pointed out, that soil is way to dense and needs something added like perlite.

As far as this ludi nonsense I agree that bickering is pointless. I will eventually tell someone pointblank that they're being a punk when that is what they are doing. Then I will permanently ignore them. To be clear none of their posts that were in reply to mine had any helpful info or even constructive criticism. They were nothing but halfwitted, illogical attempts at talking shit that were full of incomplete thoughts and shit grammar.

Its a soil less medium like Coco. the HP is for high porosity and there is no chance you can over water, i have tried... I find it actually dries out too fast for my schedule of 1 week watering. Coco is good too, remember none of this stuff is soil and you treat it as hydroponics so a PH 5.5 - 6.1. Make sure you are adding CaMG+ with Coco and give it a rinse(flush) before planting.
