The heatsink is 350x 600mm so I must use the 2ft. strips and wire them 4p2s.I'm not sure you'll hit a full 200W because as the drive current drops so does the forward voltage. Looking at the grbigger Samsung specs it looks like forward voltage at that current is about 44.5V so I'd expect to see about 174W. But I could be wrong! Someone care to chime in here?
edit: I suppose you could always slightly overdrive the strips because what the hell do we care about a 5.7 year lifespan! We'll all be onto whatever the new toys are by that time.
The HLG-185H-48A can be adjusted between 43 and 53vf and delivers 4,2A max.
2 parallel cluster in series(4p2s) @4,2A(1050mA each strip)and ~50°C would need around 45,5-46v, so at 4,2A it should be ~191-193w.
But the A series Meanwells tends to give out a bit more current. A HLG-480 for instance runs stable at 550w(with 4 QB's). So, when it goes up to 4,4A it would be even more as 200w's, hopefully.
But the few watts really does'nt matters, because of the 3sft. area in which it is used, LOL!
It is very unlikely that I need it to run at full power all the time. Most of the time it's dimmed, but I like to have a bit headroom just for the case I switch into a bigger area later.
