Heheh. I'm not sure how unprotecting works. I'm afraid that all the cells and formulas would get screwed up by accident by people trying to use it.

Thanks Rb...perhaps I should have explained a little better in my original question that @Rider509 and @ledgardener answered.
Although the cab will be 4x2 ft I will only be vegging 3 plants at a time and they will be arranged in a row directly under the strip(s). The extra space I wanted more for movement of air and to have an oscillating fan sitting inside. Also the strip(s) will be lowered and dimmed when the plants are small/at seedling stage. As they grow I will raise the lights and turn the power up.
Perhaps I should just try it with 2 FB22B's wired in parallel and if it becomes obvious this isn't enough then add another strip.
I also have a large dual spectrum cfl that I'll use to germinate the seeds then turn the strips on when they start to develop leaves.
Does that make sense?

How would you arrange strips in a 4x2 scrog ?

As far as I know 660nm red promotes germination while far red prevents it.
So it's maybe the better way to use the CFL bulb and put the party cups or what ever you use under the warm white side.
So, it does make sense to me...

BTW,
you will get big and healthy plants with only 15-25.000lx. I usually use only 10.000lx for the first few weeks 15.000lx from the 3rd week on and above the 5th up to 25.000lx.

So really anything above 25000 lux not needed ? The best measure of course would be PAR map.
Yield, density, etc. must still be improved from 25000 lux to 50,000. I would guess.

Yes that's kind of what I was thinking.

It is a coincidence but my veg and flower spaces are both 4x2 ft.
I plan to veg the plants, top at the 4th node and then move to my flower space when they are ready to flip to 12/12 where I will have a ScrOG net.

I'm making my shopping list ready to order everything on Monday.....can't wait!! :)

We are talking about his veg cabinet.
For flowering 40-50.000lx would be enough. That's ~600-700μMol/s/m² or between 26 and 30Mol/day DLI.
That's well enough for a beginner.
I know, more is always better but can it can be difficult to keep the plants healthy under more intense light.(Bleaching, CalMag deficits, uneven nutrient consumption)
If you want more light or even think about using CO2 I recommend also to use a hydro medium like coco to meet the increasing demand for nutrients.

Try "FIM" method and you will not need a trellis anymore.
All branches will grow to mostly the same heights and if your lucky and hit the right point you get a few additional new branches too. Much better to work without such a net and if they really need some support, do a few bamboo sticks just as well.

OK, I'm going to give it a try when everything is set up....sounds easy but having never done it I don't know but I'll take your word for it :)

There are vids on youtube which explains that in detail.
In principle, you need to find the very top focal point of growth, where the new cells are developing and and auxins are highest concentrated and cut thru it.
For a period of several weeks, all growth force will be evenly distributed to all remaining tips until one of the shoots gains again the upper hand and keeps everyone else under it. Same effects as with simple cutting but the cut thru the M....(forgot the name) can lead to additional branches.

My germination difficulties with the seeds that were desert baked has pushed me way off track. I will likely end up with the four skunk/thai plants vegging in the RDWC in the small tent until they catch up. I really didn't want to have to run two systems but what the hell do ya do. They're all regular seeds so some culling is inevitable.

Nice setup, nice strains, I like exotic sativas...
Hope your desert baked seedlings catch up fast, so they all end up in one tent at the end.
