I don't know what it is about coconut oil, it smells and tastes fine until it combines with cannabis then it becomes down right repulsive after that and needs to be capped imo or it is unbearable.

Yeah the raw taste is horrible, even in caps I add 2 drops of peppermint essential oil into the batch while I'm mixing it. That way when you burp all you get is peppermint instead of that raunchy flavour.

I may try this for the wife, I was going to pick up some Global Alcool 94% to make tinctures (I had to get a letter of authorization to buy this shit in Onterrible) but if peppermint makes it better it may be worth trying (and substantially cheaper than the $100 a bottle for 1100ml). Do you add sunflower lecithin to increase your bodies absorption of the thc from the caps ?

I don't think I can even get it shipped here, I have to physically go in and hand them my authorization to purchase letter to purchase. I considered having my brother get it from SAQ as he is right on the border of QC, the $65 is for 750ml isn't it ? (we get fucked in Canada, in Utah my buddy says he can get everclear 750ml for like $12).

I am actually running my first tincture, almost finished now. I added 4 drops into it to see how it turns out taste wise as I've heard it can be pretty rough tasting. I grab the essential oil bottles and they last forever as you only use a few drops at a time. Works great for the caps, assuming it'll be much the same for the tincture. Rather than trying to get a "license" to buy the higher grade, I bought a 700ml bottle of Spirytus Gdanski 76% which is the highest you can get off the shelf in Ontario. Will run it a bit longer and it should work fine, $40 for that bottle.
Never thought to add the lecithin to the tincture, none of the recipes showed it. I use Soy lecithin (it comes in a liquid state, more like thick syrup consistency) in my caps recipe which is supposed to help absorption, seems to work

I have no comparison as I went with the liquid version from the start. But the sift/coco pills work at various dosages (GF can only handle 20mg pills, I take 80/90mg, have made up to 150's for others) and tend to kick in within 30-60 minutes depending on the person.

So lesson learned, I need plant yoyo's for my clone run from these plants. The one plant is so heavy at this point that it buckled about 4" from the soil due to the weight of the buds, this occurred in a 2 hour period and required me to rig it up with some metal stakes, some rubber wire plant ties and the bottom pole of my tent. Sorry for the pic quality, I was kind of panicking about my plant falling over so close to finish (it is sitting around 15% amber or so at day 48, it is supposedly a 55-60 day strain but I think this pheno is early).
I have also added this little guy to my grow, I won't ever actually try it but I wanted to grow it simply for the experience, and because if cannabis scares conservatives I would love to see how they feel about this completely legal houseplant.
