Can 700 watts of LED strips grow trees???

Hey BGT, whats up bud. I have a question for you.

Can i use this driver for my strip light build? ( 20 strips, 12v )Mean Well HLG-320H-15B Power Supply LED Driver Panel Mount 15V @ 19A

its max 15v, and adjustable, just dont know how fan it will adjust down.

I found one for a pretty cheap price. also, can i dim it down to 3.3 volts CV?

ITV, how's your grow going? I have no personal experience with that driver, but according to these specs the voltage range is 7.5v to 15v so it should work for your light strips, but it cannot be adjusted down to 3.3 volts. That driver puts out 19 amps, so 228 watts at 12v which is probably what you want for a 2x2 area.

Going good Bro, and thanks for your reply. Should be way more efficient then the one im using now id imagine. Cant beat the price for $30 for that, there are 2 available.

I wont really be using the light now, but it is a usable light, and just changing the driver will control temps better, because this current power supply throws soooooo much heat, its like a personal heater. I have a Perfect Sun Mini on the way. But this strip light rocks for seedlings, because i can turn it way down. Going to use it for veggie tent.

edit add: got it, should of gotten both, might grab the other later today just to have. and, they freakin shipped it within 5 minutes of ordering, thats service,lol.

Next grow will only have 4 plants in that 4'x4' light chamber so I will see if I can grow something bigger. Maybe not trees but more than shrubberies. Think 'shrees' or 'trubberies'. They will be mainlined and trained to fit their individual 2'x2' areas.

It looks like I'm chopping the Platinum Blue Dreams this weekend. They are getting pulled out of the lights tomorrow and going dark for a couple days, then they get the axe. The Animal Cookies still do not appear to be ready for harvest so I will give them at least another week unless I just get bored of seeing them sitting there basking in the light like they are on vacation.

Very nice! Not for nothin but I knew you'd like that vertical strip growing! This style is gonna catch on soon enough.

Is there anything you are gonna tweak on you light system (cuz that's what it is) before next run using her?
