I don’t recommend watching this at all it is fucking intense !holy shit
It’s called aerial layering, takes a bit longer than normal clones and not as good of a strike rate but for larger chunkier clones it isn’t a bad optionIn plant cloning. No. But it's certainly interesting.
I girdle about 5/6th of the way round the stem so a little bit of nutrient and water get past,I’ve found the biggest issue is the girdled part healing or drying out before a callous forms, but it could be bad technique on my partI wonder why the strike rate isn't as good. Don't they technically get feed off the mother while they're striking roots of their own?
Should it be dark plastic instead?I girdle about 5/6th of the way round the stem so a little bit of nutrient and water get past,I’ve found the biggest issue is the girdled part healing or drying out before a callous forms, but it could be bad technique on my part
Saw someone on here mention grafting in a thread. He said it wasn't worth the time.Anyone tried this before ?
