Quantum Boards: Are they worth it? Why or why not?

Good question! The guy who is designing/building them knows his stuff and takes a very methodical scientific approach. He has all the kit to test his products and is selling them at a very reasonable price also.
I believe he doesn't ship internationally or I'd be the owner of a couple of his boards......
:peace:
Do not know your country, but if you are in Europe there are other suppliers that offer a pcb board ,with lm561c.I have seen a prototype at a growing equipment exibition, (efficiency of 2,7mmol/j at 100w,passive cooling, but I do not remember all data exactly )available from December.

I'm in UK buddy.
This sounds interesting. Thanks for the heads-up. If you get any more info let me know please!
Thanks man. :peace:

Surprise surprise. Don't tell me you have some of those too.. With all these lights Your going to need more houses or more friends Moflow. :bigjoint:
Lol
UV is always lurking in the back of my mind.
I like trying out the new technology , proving it works, showing friends. I'm like an unofficial hlg rep as I've sent a few orders their way already ;).

QB's would work well for smaller grow areas with limited height, if you are looking for a light for a larger area COBs might be more useful.

Yeah those buds look anorexic. Yodaweed was right all along, QB's are basically only good for side lighting. :eyesmoke:
If the man had any self-awareness, he'd feel embarrassed about how foolish all his QB-bashing has made him appear. Remember, according to Yodaweed, quantum boards "lack any type of usable intensity", so everyone here who's growing amazing nugs under QBs is obviously having a pipe dream!

The really amazing thing is that he's still banging on that drum, trying to give new people advice about the proper application for boards he doesn't use. I don't get it.

It looks like qb and cobs are similar in intensity, but the cobs appear to have much better spectrum. It would seem like cobs would hold a clear advantage but they don't. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

First time I've seen someone comment that COBs have a spectrum advantage. Data?

I thought the guy was just being tongue in cheek funny and posting up pics of some nice plants. So he's a Yodaweed clone?

Having higher percentage of the light in the red and blue spectrums. Kinda like how a 90 cri cob has, on paper, a better spectrum than an 80 cri cob.
