The only thing you can clame is the actual purchase of the Cannabis.....or starting materials ie. seeds or clonesI was asking if you got a receipt for the amount you paid for your script could you use it on your taxes as a medical expense that wasn't covered by your health coverage?
Not anymore, prices have plummetedNot much interest for people to DG on a large scale...why bother if you have these kind of resources may aswell become an LP.
So a DG can claim per gram to the patient and both can claim it to CRA?The only thing you can clame is the actual purchase of the Cannabis.....or starting materials ie. seeds or clones

Subsection 1.142
The way I’m seeing it looks like only the patient buying the cannabis can make a clame as a medical. expenseSo a DG can claim per gram to the patient and both can claim it to CRA?
The way I’m seeing it looks like only the patient buying the cannabis can make a clame as a medical. expense
the only thing a grower can clame is the cost of the seeds or clones they purchased.....only from a authorized LP of course.
It doesn’t really make sense to me that I can’t clame the cost of all my grow equipment to grow my Meds. Especially considering how exspesive everything is.

That's interesting. Hadn't thought about that. Let me ask my question in another way.
If you need a hernia operation and the wait time is going to be 4 years in our normal system...so you decide to go to false creek healthcare and pay $5000 for a private operation that can be done next week. You'll get a receipt for that $5000. Can you claim that $5000 on your taxes as a medical expense that wasn't covered by your normal medical coverage?
and then back to ganja medical terms: Would your price that you paid for your medicinal cannabis prescription be tax deductible since it isn't covered by everyday medical insurance?
Also, that is an excellent comment that perhaps the cannabis that you pay for - would the amount you pay be a tax deduction. That's a great question.
Was he audited? In reality, your taxes are not looked at by a person unless they are audited...Hmmm, a friend just told me that he did use his prescription cost as a tax deduction and it was not contested. That's very interesting. I don't know what to say after hearing that...
So the thousands you pay are deductible?...Confirmed the following information just a few minutes ago. Friend wrote back and said the following:
"Dr fees are absolutely deductible. I’ve done it for years and I also worked at CRA. I've have been audited a few times with no issues. Try it. Call them and ask if Dr fees are deductible 1800 959 8281 if memory serves correct."
I have to call that number to find out.
Some people cover all the bases and use all methods of intaking cannabis. Don't forget even at high doses a tolerance can be built over timeI'm probably going to get in shit for asking, but who honestly uses more than an oz/day? Even if you turned it all to oil, that's a lot of oil/month. I could see maybe a cancer patient that juices whole plants maybe uses more but idk.
