Definitely doesn't look normal to me. It's kinda hard to tell from the photo but it looks burned on the leaf margins? And the new leaves look curled in and brown/burned. Definitely looks like it has root problems to me.

All that bark could be way too acidic for marijuana, the average ph for pine mulch/bark is between 4 and 5. WAY too low for a "soil" grow. Some strains respond differently to various PH which could explain why your auto is fine.

I would transplant her into a much smaller pot, eh? When seedlings first go into dirt the plant expends most of its energy building a rootball large enough to support the plant. The plant will continue this mostly below-grade growth until the roots reach the inside of the pot. Then the plant knows to switch energy use into growing greenery. If she was in a 6-8 oz. cup she would have roots reaching the inside of the cup in 2-3 weeks. Your set-up will add weeks to your veg time as she grows more roots than she needs. Once the above-ground growth starts you are in true veg mode and the plant will soon be growing an inch + daily. .

So, I'd TP into a small cup and leave her there until the widest fans are 100-150% as wide as the mouth of the cup. Then you can think about TPing into an intermediate pot. I use 7 x 7 inch berry pots for most of the rest of veg mode then TP again into the 3-gallon finishing pots.

Transplanting shock is largely non-existent after you become familiar and comfortable with the process.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Is the soil like that all the way down? Full of wood chips?
