Just curious as a first time grower myself what are some of the lowest watt light set ups people have used and what did you yield im currently trying a 12 watt grow light for seedling and veg

We have a 600 Watt tent and expect about .8 - 1.5 GPW
We are also harvesting a plant from a 108 W uncapped Cree bulb set-up. We hope it's at least .5 GPW* (*this plant did spend time vegging under 600 watt MH).
It seems like 12 watts are not enough for a full grow to yield anything.

You can grow with any light, but obviously the more watts the better.
I grew a plant in a closet once, with tin foil and an incandescent bulb.
Got about 6 joints. And I was thrilled.
Started growing outside after that ... for 15 years ... and just got the bug to grow indoors this past year.
Now using a Timber 300W Vero 29 rig in a 2x4 tent with supplemental fluorescents on the sides.
Never gets hot. Nice yield. And fun.

I currently have a Special Queen #1 (RQS) clone that I have vegged and I'm now flowering under 69w of Quantum board LED.
It's only about 3-4 weeks since flipping, but I'll post results when it's harvest time.

Interesting question. We could split it into groups. One group for soil and one for soil-less. We could even take it a step further and do inorganic salts only for the hydro group and organic no till style for the soil group.Would hydro be allowed?

well thankfully I'm not expecting a whole lot so not much room for disappointment just curious how it would come out with a low watt light and I have read that article before quite recently actually

Yeh, well it will be, still got about 4+ weeks of flowering to go.
Its a DIY job, using 3 X TCI led strips from eBay.
I used 4000k strips for vegging and swapped them out with 3000k strips when I flipped it to 12\12.
I'll get a pic up soon.

I can't wait to see how they do man I've considered using the strips they look pretty easy to use and seem to be efficient these are my seedlings that are less than a week old and my other one has been under my 12 watt light for about 5 weeks topped and slightly used some lst

This is my small veg cabinet, experimenting with it as a flowering cab for now. This is one week after the flip to 12/12.
3x 23w TCI led strips, 2 x 90mm PC fans.
Cabinet is approx 2.5x1x2ft.

Looks like it is going pretty good to me my friend I have yet to really try any of the scrog or sog methods

Thanks, to be honest this was a bit of a trial run of a scrog, just to get some experience with it. I know next time to have the scrog in place A LOT earlier haha.
