Study: Hillary Clinton’s TV ads were almost entirely policy-free

I can't quite decipher what you are trying to say.

What part of your post challenges the post you quoted? There is obviously a historically strong opposition to progressivism.

How can you say we cannot compare ourselves to other Countries right after you compare us to Nazi Germany?

OK let's compare to Nazi Germany: Even THEY overcame their history of conservative dogma and are now 10x more progressive than the US. If they can do it, maybe there is hope for us yet!
They lost a world war first.

A minor detail of history you seem to have overlooked in your optimistic overview.

Hopefully it won't come to that here. Only if we can't discipline ourselves.
Well, can you point to any evidence that our country is NOT headed further into corporate led authoritarian imperialism?

I'm a Progressive precisely because I think our current system of inverted totalitarianism is unsustainable and will lead us to disaster- but I'm gonna be honest and say that I'm no longer confident in America's willingness, and therefore ability, to change course.

I was being playful. Hopefully the culture war won't descend to that level of madness again.

The left is strong, we have the numbers, we have the substantive ideas. The right has dogma, ignorance, and cognitive dissonance. We won the election by popular vote even when many on our side were dissuaded from Hillary. Occupy wall street, counter protestors to white nationalists, BLM protests, etc. We are not the weak minority we once were. It is still going to be a hard fought victory. Change comes slowly, the work is hard and slow, and it requires a moral high ground as the other side tries to bring you down to their level so that you both appear equally distasteful. Do I trust Democrats? No, and we never should. We have to BE the change in Democratic party and make our case every day, all while trying not to divide too much and lose to the more extreme opposition. We can't pull all the strings at once and as hard as we can or the whole thing unravels. But if we play our cards right we can keep moving forward.

A respectable position.

The Progressive Movement is one way to help keep the Democratic Party honest in terms of representing the needs of the average American.
