you'd do better getting a couple of t5s to put seedlings and cuttings under, then move them under the led after a couple of weeks, after they're a little stronger

i prefer cfls over t5's, i get thicker more vigorous growth out of em you ever try em? alot shorter node spacing as well

Nice!! How long has that been sitting?
thanks! at the time that photo was taken was 23ish days since showing pistils. its 12 12 from seed so i cant say EXACTLY lol. shes now 30ish days into flower i think. shes putting on weight now and still stacking frost. 4-5 weeks left i think. (photo is from a couple days ago)image2(2).JPG

its a bagseed i found in a bag of white 99. ive never seen the seeds for sale anywhere (i assume the white 99 is some sort of elite genetics?) so when i found one i got super excited, its one of my top 5 all time favorites!

Very nice!! This is my first time using LED so I’m not sure how much longer veg may take, ive noticed they definitely stay more stout with thick stems and more branchy

18" for a 1000? That's in a cool tube right? And yup over watering. FYI not directed to quote but: The plants aren't trying to get away from the light lol.
You can run 1kw at 18" w/o a cool tube. Do it all the time. Gotta stay on top of it, though, as new growth can complicate things.

Agree that it's an overwater issue with too many nuets.

i cant hang a 1000w hps 18" away without a cool tube its way too hot even with fans directly on it the heat is crazy

I'm running 2 600's at the moment and 18" is the closest I can get them, I'm also running 75 - 78 at canopy,, if I get much hotter the plants will fry, it happened when my extraction fan failed to come on at 78 lol,

There's a couple variables that come into play with how close you can run a lamp, including air flow, ambient temp, humidity, strain and age of plant. Right now I'm running my 1kw DE at 19" with no issues whatsoever. It's on a circular light mover, adjusted to the smallest circle possible. These plants were initially grown under my SE 1kw, at 18" (20-24" while in seedling stage), with no light mover.

That does look very close to the light. I have a Kind K3 L600 led in my 4x4 flower tent and I basically just hang it up as high as I can get it in the tent, and leave it there, it never moves. That way the plants can grow into the light instead of you constantly adjusting which would avoid the problem of too much light...a very real and often overlooked problem, plants can only photosynthesize so much light at the size they are at and if you throw too much light at it or put the light too close you will experience problems...speaking from experience....I'm that guy too lol. I also agree that the plants look overwatered.

And I wouldn't worry much about getting stretchy plants with LEDs...at least I've never experienced it, must be because it penetrates so deep. They just happily grow with the light mounted to the top of the tent
