Mine are on a raised floor but the water is 66F is that too cold? Guess imma have to turn the heat on and a humidifier to keep my VPD good.Pots sitting on a bare cold concrete floor can cause slow growth too.

The 66 res temp is great. I wanna build a thermoelectric cooler for dwc. I bet you could keep your res cool without a pump or chiller.Mine are on a raised floor but the water is 66F is that too cold? Guess imma have to turn the heat on and a humidifier to keep my VPD good.
tell us more! The 66 res temp is great. I wanna build a thermoelectric cooler for dwc. I bet you could keep your res cool without a pump or chiller.
so 4200k spectrum bigger buds .....interesting.Same room. Temps about 72F lights on 66F off. 4 qb304 at 1050ma.
The CMH are a couple weeks behind at 28days vs 42, but the buds are bigger than the QBs at that period in time. Only by about 10-20% id say. I just got 1 plant under the 315w its about 30"×30" canopy. The qb setup,is over a 4 plant 54"x54" scrog.
Not complaining. Im very happy with my QB. Im also very happy with my CMH. The CMH is 4200k bulbs. QB is 3000k.
In a couple months ill have better data as ill be running 2 315w cmh over a 4x6 scrog and 6 qb304 over a 4x6 scrog and will compare #s
Great news , the larvae form eat like crazyFor all the people who said ladybugs won't breed in captivity, I have a bunch of ladybug larvae coming from their habitat and in my garden that say otherwise.

Living soil u never have issues like that . Actually way less workI always thought 72F wasnt bad. Ill try. Its nearing winter here and would hate to have to run a heater just to warm my room up.
Guess ill just buy a couple CMH setups and run those in the winter and run LEDs when its warmer out.
Kind of depressing. I do have a baseboard heater in the room, but the way my,room is setup, now the res is right next to it so I have it off now. Once i harvest ill move my rdwc around so the res is outside the room so im not battling an 80F room trying to keep my water at 66F
Are you saying the water temp doesn't matter when growing in living soil?Living soil u never have issues like that . Actually way less work
Thanks for posting mate, nice to see some SOG grows with the QBs, imo they are perfect for these type of grows. I'm running one myself, with a 2 weeks Veg time, really wonder what would be the final resultsSo my results, I took 25 clones. All about 8 inches or so tall. I didn't transplant and veg them like i would have normally i just stuck them in 5 inch sq pots with a 6in depth and put them under the QB2288 boards at 319 watts.

Now the tent measures 36 x 36 I could have put 49 clones in there with no spacing issues at all.
IN this pic below you cant see but they are in a washing machine tray that measure 29 x 29 inches.
Lots of gaps and 7 inches on the sides and back/front. So def going to pack it this next time!

This was 2 weeks before they where chopped i got lazy and stopped taking pics.
You can see all the space between tops where i could have packed so much tighter.

So they came down at 7 weeks and 6 days.
It was 308 grams dry ( 319 watts)
it was 12.34 grams per plant.
( i physically measures all 25 and it was spot on some where 11.9 and some where 12.8, but all in all 12 grams each) So almost a half ounce per tiny little 12 inch plant.
I have no doubts next time, if i pack this thing correctly and use all the space under the light i will get 600+ grams per light EASY. ( it fits 49 containers I only used 25 )
I will post results from the next one.
Side note I did this exact thing with a CMH light put plants in with no veg and flowered them and it only yielded 140 grams. I did this with the last table before i put these in to see what the results would be rushed versus this quantum board. I am blown away.
I know 308 doesn't seem like much but you guys who know what i did, ( under fed 600 ppms for half the grow) rushed them with no veg or time to establish roots and packed the tent half way see where im going with this, Did so many things wrong here and still the results are just nuts.
Alright ill be back next time to show ya what these fuckers can do now that i have tested them and im prepared
Yes. I water at any temp except hot to warmAre you saying the water temp doesn't matter when growing in living soil?
Im going to allow for veg time this round and even top them but keep them squat 12-14 inches. Thanks for posting mate, nice to see some SOG grows with the QBs, imo they are perfect for these type of grows. I'm running one myself, with a 2 weeks Veg time, really wonder what would be the final results
How's the taste/aroma of these?
Keep it up!
Room is in a finished basement approx. 10X12x7. Exchanging air into another room. The whole basement is on one zone so the air exchange shouldnt matter too much as its drawing in conditioned air. But the room im drawing in from is my veg room that runs 24-0 and exhausting into laundry room. How big is the room? Also are you exchanging air?

I bumped the t-stat outside the room to 70F and it was 75F in the room with lights on today. So I bumped heat to 75F in hopes that lights on will bring it to 80F about.
The only, infiltration spots could,be the AC in the window still. Been waiting for this harvest to finish to take it out as theres not much room to maneuver the AC out.
Get a co2 burner. They are amazing. LPG, electric ignition, no standing pilot, huge buds. And heat!!!!!!!!!So kind of aggravated knowing I have to waste energy to heat my,room, because its too cold to use these lights to their full, potential.
I feel like all the energy im,saving is going out the window heating my,room to 80F.
Might as well run a 1kw DE. Heat my room for me. Run less electricity and get more buds.
Guess this is a perfect example of individual results may vary.
Just did the math and id need a 600w heater to keep my temps up from 30F outside to 80F inside with well insulated wall causes a btu/hr of 2016. That converted to kwh is 0.6.
Imma see what I yield first before I make any drastic changes. And then do another grow with optimum temps and see if its worth it.
My veg room just has a lone 315w cmh. Has a 330 cfm fan exhausting thru the reflector feeding into the flower room which is sucking out 550CFM with a carbon filter so more like 400CFM.Buy a mercury 4 fan speed controller and put it on your exhaust. How many watts of lights you running in the room?
Get the mercury 4 and put your flower room on it. Set the idle to a low as it goes and then set temp to 82. You'll be surprised. My veg room just has a lone 315w cmh. My flower room has 835w.
After this harvest im turning the veg into another flower room with 2 315w cmh and the current room will be adding another 260w kit for a total of 780w of QB.
While im complaining now im sure come summer ill dig the LEDs.
Why don't you just use 1000w of quantum boardsSo kind of aggravated knowing I have to waste energy to heat my,room, because its too cold to use these lights to their full, potential.

Whats the sequence of operations on that? Does it only, operate once temp hits the temp setpoint? And the idle acts as like a vfd to slow the fan down when it does, operate? I feel like the room wont get hot enough and it will never operate and I wont get air exchangeGet the mercury 4 and put your flower room on it.
