BASS Fishing! What's your favourite bait/lure?

How would it stay on the hook? Row bag?
I would think it would not require that. Think about it: once soap gets a bit moist it's like glue. I would think you could put it on rather easily and once it hit the water it would just glob around the hook and stay there.

Next time I go fishing, we'll find out. ;)

Ditto.

Now, of course, I'm going to HAVE to try it.
Try Zote soap. It's in the laundry detergent section. Zote is soft and mashes around a treble hook easy. I use it on yo-yos that I have rigged up for river fishing. Works just as good as anything for channel cats in my neck of the woods. It stays on the hook. A bar cost about $1.50 and you can get 50 or so 3/4" cubes out of it.

That sounds awesome!
I used blood bait for cats, but it wasn't stinky. Had to keep the jug refrigerated. They mixed blood with feathers to keep it on the hook. It clotted & got darker, but smelled fine.

i've never had much luck with soft plastics for some reason.
i always do well with rapala's, things like the x rap, and rattle traps do good for me..
i also like some chartrouse colored spinners and caught a few with top water poppers and what not.. rooster tails is another one i've had some good luck with..
