Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I also emailed them frequently! But always polite when I did. I always left my name phone number and email address. I was actually amazed I got a response and not the generic ones! After I had gotten my letter to resubmit my picture I emailed them asking if they could please email
Me back and let me know at least if everything they asked for was received! They did! I then emailed and asked if they can let me know when approved and when it would be mailed to me! That was this Monday and again today they emailed me back saying I was approved as of today and Expect it 10-14 days from now. I’m very excited to say the least!

Good to hear Brewski!! If I don't get it ultimately it's not the end of the world but I really would like an alternative approach to pharmaceuticals that have side effects worse than what they're supposed to treat.

I’m sure you’ll get it! And no it’s not the end of the world but definitely feels good to know I’m legal now!

My dr. said around 2 month wait times, and it seems that is more or less the consensus. Also I heard someone got their photo rejected because they looked “too squinty”....so this is mine :shock:

At this point I’m relieved to hear when they requested more info, you don’t go to the bottom of the pile

My check was cashed last Friday as well and also have not received anything else. I am assuming(and really hoping) that at this point if something would’ve been wrong, I would have received a letter already. Crossing my fingers that the next thing I know from them is my card in my mailbox8).

Quick update..so today was one week since the state cashed my check, so I sent a nice email asking that if the fact that the check was cashed meant that my application was approved. They replied an hour later, I could not believe it!! I copied and paste their reply below:

Your check being cashed, means that we have started processing your application. Cashing of checks/money orders is the first step in the processing order. Your application status is currently “processing”.

Then I replied back asking if they could please give me an average time from processing, being approved and getting the card..again they replied back in about hour,I was very surprised. Anyway, here’s what they said:

To process an application can take up to 30 business days. Please allow for this, as your application is reviewed by FBI, Illinois State Police, Secretary of State, your physician certification is verified, your photo, proof of age & identity, proof of residence. All of this takes times.


We appreciate your patience.

So yea, I am at day 72 since they received my application, my check was cashed a week ago and this might take a lot longer than I expected :wall:

I submitted my application online and the state charged the fee that day so no check to cash. That was 45 days ago. Anyone have any insight as to the time frame going this route?

I submitted like 10 days before you and still waiting. I will post once received to give you a countdown.

Please do! I would appreciate that. It is definitely a good guideline for me since you submitted your application 10 days before I did, so yea very close:-D.
I really wish that all of us waiting for this long process in this state gets their card soon! Peace :weed:!

Today is day 80 for me! Received confirmed approved and that I should receive the card within 10-14 business days! I’m not looking to get it until at least December 13th. That would be 90 days for me! Again as soon as I get it in the mail I’ll definitely be posting! I also have informed delivery set up so as soon as the letter gets scanned at USPS I’ll know it before I get it. At least I hoping it works right! Anyone else use informed delivery? It’s free through USPS.

You submitted your application exactly one week before I did and also your check to the state was cashed also 1 week prior than mine. I haven’t received any letter letting me know anything else was needed or missing.I sent an email on Friday and they told me my application was “ processing” and that it could take up to 30 business days. I am really hoping that you will get yours soon because that will mean that maybe, just maybe I will receive mine one week after you do.
Please update when you get yours..this waiting is driving me insane..as I am sure the same is happening with you and many others.

The day my check was cashed on the 16th, is the same day that they sent me a letter. It was posted marked the 16th and I got it in the mail on the 20th. After doing all that they asked me it put my application on hold for 2 weeks to the day. I got email confirmed approved on . So I’d say had I not had to resubmit stuff I’d say that I would have already gotten mine by now! Kinda seems to me that once your check is cashed it’s either at that point approved, denied outright and a letter sent or they send you a letter! Either way I’d say check cashed I’d count 14 business days from that day! If you don’t have it by then I’d be emailing everyday asking why! That’s what I am going to do. Dec 13th for me is day 14 since Approved so if it’s not there then I’ll be sending an email! Hopefully I don’t have to! It’s very nerve racking to say the least! I even told them that I’m an email! They need to rethink how they handle this application process. Like it’s a big ass secret or some shit! There has to be a way to track the process!

Application should have been received on or about 9/12

ARRIVED TODAY!!!!

Hi Guys - I've been lurking this post for information. I went to an all-in-one clinic on Sept. 26 and paid by credit card. Got a receipt the application was received on Sept. 27. My card just showed up in the mail today.
