Help please, my girls are not doing well,

On day 26, and barely got pistils, like all other ladies

Is this normal?

It doesnt have those lots of pistils shooting/sticking up.

Most of the stuff at the end of the range on the datasheet will have some ridiculous caveat like it only applies at 5 degrees C or some shit.

Since my chips are stuck right to the hollow aluminum block the water passes through with less than 5mm of material between the two, I can confidently say that my junction temperatures are very likely not to be much more than 1-2 degrees C higher than the temperature of the water passing through my fixtures. That's how I can put my hand on a Bible and say I've run my chips at 60F or 15C with confidence. I had serious condensation problems for my trouble, too! I've also run them as warm as 60C with no ill effects. In fact, the warmer temperatures made for happier plants due to better transpiration.

We were discussing distances from canopy. I'm saying led should be kept further away as per what growweed easy say. And Andy is saying they should be closer than HPS.
Grow weed easy say;

1W Bulbs at least 12" (30cm)
3W or 5W Bulbs at least 18" (45cm)
High Wattage (300W+) up to 30" (76cm) or more
Powerful LED grow lights need to be kept relatively far away from your plants to prevent light burn"

UFO80 lights from Unit farm are 170w (a quality low W pre built light) and are recommended for the distances above

Ive also mentioned that his praying leaves are probably caused by not enough light. He is at 18 inchers, 600w HID and if memory serves (I'm old and grey so could be wrong here) in a cooled hood- so loosing another 10 % there. In my opinion praying leaves are caused by to much heat or not enough light, as I'm only running a 600w in a 4 x 4 I get praying leaves around the outside of the tent. (chasing light).

Still down, I'm afraid. All this is based on past experience.

One more variable to add to the mix; lenses. My fixtures have relatively tight 80 degree lenses, which tends to keep the light quite concentrated and thus encourages a bit more distance. My chips driven at 54W seem to do best between 18-30" or 50-80cm, give or take.

Environmental conditions make a big difference. Temperature and humidity affect transpiration and therefore growth. LED grows have less infrared in the mix so these factors are even more important.

lol i agree. but my plans arent gonna be the same this year as far as family stuff hah im just tryna prepare my new ladies and get my clone count up by christmas so i can start my new run by new years harvest my ladies i have going now by christmas. christmas will be 9 weeks !!

And Remember,A Grow Room is for Life not just Christmas.LOL

My Grow Finishes,The day after Christmas day ,Boxing Day .Bit of Bad timing,this year in my grow room ,I all ways do them so they finish 2/3 weeks before Christmas.At least New Year ,will be a Serious Red Eye Time.

id also ask yourself what your plants are praying for? There are two reason the plants prey. One is due to to much heat and the other is its chasing light.

Ive been a predominately outdoor grower so I never saw praying leaves until I moved inside and started to use smaller lights like the 600w I have now.
That's what made me question the why. I don't think its a big deal if its only happening around the edges of a grow. if its happening all over the canopy then its a sign to lower the light IMO.
Nice flat leaves basking in the light is what your after.

I only recently was introduced to the transpirations graph. Very interesting.

Anytime a plant is exposing less than the maximum of its leaf surface, there has to be a good reason for it.

Check room VPD, (just use the chart), if you have an IR thermometer take a temp reading of the leaf surface and also the air at canopy level.

If you have enough airflow you may remove some of the hot air between the plant and the light, but radiant heat works even in a vacuum (the sun, for example), so something on the other side of the vacuum can still be baked warm.

Its not a Massive bad thing ,I would not worry about it,,A lot of the time it caused by Heat Stress,But mine are doing it a bit because of it been cold, lights off.I just leave em be,Has long has they look healthy then don't worry.But if they do it through Heat then i would try and bring the temps down.
