PLEASE HELP! week six flowering issues

Hey everyone, Im brand new here and this is my first shot at growing. To start out let me give you some background of my setup.

Strain: Unknown bag seed
grow light: 150 watt HPS sunsystem
pot size: 2 gallons
growing medium: Happy frog organic forest soil
nutrients: maxigrow (veg. phase)
maxibloom and molasses (flowering phase)
grow area: grow tent sectioned off into 2x2 area

I know that the light souce isnt the best however its what I could afford right now. I also have not been monitoring the PH which I understand is a big issue. What im looking for is any possible solutions my problem. Up until now my girl has been doing great. She flowered strong and is just now begining to slow down. I flushed yesterday with the anticipation of harvesting in around 2 weeks. I have been using a 30x jewlers loupe to check on the trichome development which gave me the notion to begin the flushing process. Today I went to check on her and i noticed that not only the uppermost fan leaves but the sugar leaves are beginning to get brown spots on them. Ive checked for signs of bud rot but havent found any thus far. I am wondering if this is just a natural thing or if something is going terribly wrong. I have searched through a lot of threads and havent been able to find anything like my situation. The buds are fattening up nicely and still showing signs of growth but those leaves are really causing me to worry. I have been keeping the light 6-7 inches away from the top of the colas and good air circulation. Like I said this is my first go round with growing so any info or suggestions on this problem would be greatly appreciated!

brown spots looks like a calcium deficiency. I wouldnt try to correct anything at this point in flower. Myself I would of cleaned up some of that bottom growth before flip and would pick off some of those big fan leaves even now to get more light into my lower growth. If you did everything the same next time I would top those four top colas a week before flip to be able to get that light closer to the rest of the plant.

Thanks for the info! I was thinking calcium but why would it only be on the uppermost part of the plant? Also she wasn't very thick at the bottom before the flip so I didn't think much about trimming it up. I messed up and let those long stems stretch to much after the flip. could this be a case of light/ heat stress?

Calcium is only mobile in the transpiration stream. So wherever you see a calcium deficiency top or bottom, during that stage of growth the plant could of used a little more during that growth period. Its food for thought for the next time. It takes awhile for those spots to form your not going to fix anything dumping cal mag on it now. I learned that the plant likes more mag sulfate in late flower not that is doesn't use or need cal in late flower just not as much.

It's not light stress cuz you dont have a big light and not heat unless your room is hanging around 90 -100 plus. If you ran out and bought a 1000 watter and dumped that on your plant you would get light stress and shock it.

everything gets stacked... from a small light source to a larger one ..from low ppm's to a lot of ppm's it takes time to stack it {grow} and it looks like you only have a few weeks left thats why I say to stay the course and finish it out and learn from it without trying to correct anything. Its not bad for a first grow with your light.

Once a leaf is messed up ..for the most part that leaf isnt going to come back so you need to focus on the new growth so that the issue you had earlier isnt repeating itself, even if that new growth is on the next plant.

How well you plant will flower depends on how healthy she is during veg stage, I keep giving my plants cal/mag up until two weeks before harvest or when they are going through the "swelling" stage when the calyxes swell and the hairs starting turning colour big time. When that happens I take away her feeding(part a and b) and give her a boost of Phosphate in a couple of waterings, at this late bloom stage plants love their phosphates. Lots of plant leaves change to purple colour, some do this as a genetic trait but many do this as they are suffering a phosphate deficiency.

Oh and strip every shade leaf of her immediately so the bottom buds Harden up a bit, you are going to end up with a bucket of popcorn there.

Thanks for the info! And yeah I was worried about that since the light is so far off them. At this point will it hurt to take them all at once or should I take a percentage every day or two to avoid shock?

When I pick leaves I like to keep an even plant to leaf ratio. I dont like to keep a plant that looks to leafy. The big fan leaves blocking bud sites go first. That's what I do.

Ok that makes sense. Hopefully some of those lowers will fill in some once I get those fan leaves gone. As always thanks for the advice!

Why not simply bend them under the bud spots? Then you have budsites with more light and not loosing any photosynthesis.

Unless 2-3+ bud sights will be revealed to the light directly it may not be worth to remove them..

Better air flow better light penetration, other leaves will pick up the slack, plant wont miss a few leaves here and there.

Just string. I made up hangers you just set the cap on top of the stake and then you wrap the string around the branch to hold it up. I m able to reuse them and not have to actually tie anything makes that job easier. First time i used these I must of knocked a couple of hours off tying up branches. Although it did take a long time to make them
