cfls are the same way lol wayyy shorter node spacing someties gets to be a problem but a good one lol and i think stems are thicker and the plant overall is stronger

lol I think what he means is the plant isn't stretching. Which is a very good thing. Ecspecially while growing indoors. Hps tends to make plants stretch while MH and other forms of blue spectral lighting prevents so much stretch and allows minimal spacing between nodes.

Let soil dry completely, like super completely before waterings. Led could be as close as 1 inch from canopy using leds you dig/ but prefered 8 inches, or rule of thumb if for so long your hand is under the light and feel discomfort, its too close.
Think your having too much nitrogen and over watered medium n a little ph fluctuation.

Should have done your research, kind, vipar, mars, etc., are all bad leds(from what ive heard). Im buying my first led from HLG a quantum board light. These blurples are cheap and use epistar diodes which are cheap and dont last long. Pro tip: buy led lights manufactured in the USA.

You might have a point. i use 2 viparspectra 300 watts though on 8 plants all yield an ounce or more no less and spent about 50- 60 dollars in electricity flower to harvest.

Vipar will grow decent bud ... It's just how you use them.

Have you done a side by with both lights budz? I have seen some pretty good looking buds grown under burples. I'm probably going to build a couple of lights in the new year if I can get shit cheap enough here in "rip ya in the shipping" land lol.

I've got a kind k3 l600 and have no complaints whatsoever. I would certainly not call it a "bad led"...based off what can you tell me about my light makes it bad?

From what I've seen re other grows using them I'm thinking they work well enough for a budget, personal grower that doesn't want to drain the bank for a small grow. But I am only going by pictures I've seen here as I've exclusively used HID and T5's.

For starters, it's extremely overpriced for what you get. There are lights(kits) that cost half what the Kind costs that will outperform it using less electricity. The CLW SS550 is a better value for about the same price. A ceramic will also outperform it for less money.
What kind of diodes does Kind use?
Why do they claim that it's equivalent to a 600 HID when it's not?
Edit: Holy shit! I was going by what I found on Amazon - $600. The MSRP for this light on Kind's site is $1000. That's. Fucking. Crazy.

There is nothing "budget" about Kind LEDs. They are literally some of the highest priced blurples available.

May not be a great light I guess but again I have seen some ok grows here using burples but never tried or seen a grow firsthand using anything but HID. I need heat where I am or I would have made the switch to something other than my 1000's and 600's

. I guess I’m not sure how I didn’t do my research? I’m well aware of the quality of MarsHydro and all the cheaper brands. Some of us don’t have 8-900$ to drop on a light. If I was that concerned about quality I would get my 600’s out. I have never used LED so I was not positive on how fast growth rate and stretch would.

About 4 years ago, I bought a ufo and 2 Platinum P150s. They did decent work, at the time, but I came to learn that they were "equivalent" to the 90 watts that they actually consumed.
