Here’s a transcript of Gladu’s poem:
My speaker, I want to protest an ill thought out bill,

That is passing through parliament here on the hill,

The bill that is bad is called C-45,

It has so many flaws it just shouldn’t survive,

The Grits will allow four pot plants in each dwelling,

Regardless of how bad each place will be smelling,

With mold, ventilation as issues unplanned,

This bill will not keep pot from our children’s hand,

There are more new infractions within this new rule,

That our courts will be flooded as will every school,

With drug-impaired driving and challenges there,

The doubling of traffic deaths and Liberals don’t care,

The provinces and police in every town,

Have all asked the Liberals to slow this bill down,

With nearly 200 more days left til the day,

Nobody but our party stands in the way,

We hope that the Senate will do its true deed,

And keep our great country safe from all the weed.

Mrs. Gladu, I want to protest an ill thought out rant

What caused your irrational fear of this fine plant?

You rise in the commons and act a damn fool

you recite a bad poem, do you think you're in grade school?



Harmless plant smells and some hypothetical mold

Your fears are unfounded the courts have been told

Medical grows, they number in the range of 6 figures

Yet the world does not end,so what are your triggers?



Our dwellings are private, our smells are quite lawful

Your eagerness to control us is, quite frankly, awful

You cry 'save the children' while ignoring the facts

Kids get cannabis now, and they aren't paying the the tax


Schools will be safer, the courts much less full

Claims to the contrary are just so much bull

You talk of drivers, impaired and doubling death

But we're talking about cannabis, not about meth



One little thing that has me confused

Is your lack of concern about children and booze

We've all seen the stats, the results are quite frightening

Our children are dying from drinking white lightening



Where is the outcry, the demands and the fears

Or are all the deaths okay, if it's caused by a few beers?

You spew lies and deception, the hypocrisy is thick

Maybe give truth and facts a try...learn a new trick



The one thing you said that resembled the facts

Is your party thwarts democracy in the way that it acts

The people are ready, we've made our demands

Time to get to work instead of sitting on your hands



You've had two years to develop a plan

You work for us, not your Conservative clan

It's not hard to see with your thoughts so obsolete

In 2019 The Conservatives are guaranteed defeat
