I didn't buy a QB board, I bought strips off Alibaba and built my own light, so as someone whose already done everything you say your going to do about 4 months ago I grow tired of your stupid posts who haven't actually ordered or built anything but talk alot of shit like they have. Right these retards that try to interrogate the makers and product should go buy some more soft white sylvania bulbs they have hanging on foil turkey pans.

Trolls will continue to pop up like their grandma's chancre sore ....
I say ignore their questions and take their alibaba knockoffs and tooling quotes and shove it up their ass. The products are solid , both PCB boards and fixtures , including their cob units. Besides as the core led tech improves .... LM561c is inevidibly going to be replaced with more efficient and light producing offerings.
The Bins change , so harping about this and that is moot. I still have S5 bin in my original builds - so what ? ... Shit still grows like a boss.

Fuck that guy .... He brings NOTHING to the table.
 
Grow got pinched by the cops based on their $67000 light bills ...
If they used Quantums all would be good ....

Approx. 40,000 plants lost ( 3 buildings )
Looked like CMH style lights from video report.
Grow was very clean and had propagation tables , and private security on grounds .

Light bill threw them under bus ...

I've never heard of the 336pc boards, someone on yt mentioned those as well but could not find them as PCB with Samsung 561c 6/7.

I purchased 10 PCB Samsung 561c boards, if they arrive and the diodes are not Samsung 561c, I will be getting my money back. As far as warranty goes... many US resellers say they warranty, but when push comes to shove, they never do. Also, for ~$30 a board, it's not a big deal.

So if what's important is the diode, and the diodes that I buy from alibaba are the exact same diodes being sold by HLG for more than twice as much, who's the troll?

That may be. And I'm glad to see that people still care about making things in the US.

But that doesn't explain the Samsung diodes. Those always have been and always will be made in Asia. ( China, Taiwan, Korea, whatever... ) -- And the diodes are what matter. The boards they are attached to in no way shape or form help with the growth of the plant.

I get your point though. Its good to see stuff made in USA.

I would agree. Conductivity is important. But at the end of the day, if the "knockoff" boards are producing roughly the same amount of output as the HLG boards at less than half the cost... i consider that a no brainer.

Now if you were to tell me that HLG were making slimmer margins than they are, I would likely consider buying from them instead. But they aren't, so I won't.

It really comes down to whether or not the diodes I bought from alibaba are the same diodes used in HLG boards. Some contend they aren't, sans evidence. I contend they are, for now, until proven otherwise.

With that said, it is possible to argue that the boards they designed are "theirs". But very unlikely, in order to have ip rights over a design, it needs to not be prior art, even in likeness. Unfortunately for Amit and Stephen, the PCB boards they potentially thought were their own sweet invention were public prior art.

Now that we have all that settled, lets get back to the meat and potatoes of it all. The diodes. I think we've beatin' that dead horse long enough...

You know they started selling them under a different company first I think it was northern grow lights Johnson grow lights may have sold them too those companies merged
