Im wondering if any other patients are expecting difficulty in Saskatchewan finding a doctor to continue their prescriptions and treatment options.
The wording used by other provinces doctor colleges was 'sanctioned'. That in itself is a barrier to receiving unbiased personalized health care.I have been therw 10 Doctors who have stated "I have no Interest in dealing with health Canada" " just wait till legalization"
I herd threw the grape vine that the college of physicians sent a letter out to doctors stateing those who do write perscribtion's for medicinal cannabis after December 30th will loose their license.
I have called health Canada and the college and am now contacting my member of parliament
So you have some knowledge of this being true? The wording used by other provinces doctor colleges was 'sanctioned'. That in itself is a barrier to receiving unbiased personalized health care.
I have no direct knowledge of Sask. - I know other colleges have said doctors must comply with their guidelines which severely limit patients that are eligible and limit doses to 1 - 3g/day. Doctors don't want to deal with the bullshit, so they refuse to prescribe. It is a barrier to access that has not been properly addressed in court. So you have some knowledge of this being true?
I herd it from two sources.
Im talking the Saskatchewan College of physicians.

Thanks Mr... would not have wanted to hear what I had to say ...This shit is completely illegal and unjust. they can threaten a doctors licence,
"Just wait for legalization." unreal.....
Maybe you should wait for cancer to become legal.
Thats fine. There's more than 2 people who believe in chem trails. Doesn't make it true. There's absolutely no legal recourse they can take for them doing their job. Medical cannabis is legal therefore so is prescribing it. Simple logic, not bullshit hearsay makes it rather obvious. As I asked before, what happens to all the physicians who work with LPs?So you have some knowledge of this being true?

I feel your pain man. I tried doctor after doctor here in northern AB ever since the MMAR began with no luck. Finally got my recommendation from a doc in Vernon BC while out for a family visit in Aug 2016. Gave me 8g/day after my 2nd visit and it didn't cost me anything but gas money to drive an hour up there from Kelowna. Charged my AB medical for two unspecified visits.I have been therw 10 Doctors who have stated "I have no Interest in dealing with health Canada" " just wait till legalization"

Those are third part organizations that the college does not over seeCalyxCrusher said:I mean no offense but Im calling bullshit on what your Grapevine has to say. What basis would they be losing their license on exactly? You cannot threaten to take away a license that someone went to University for 7 years for simply because the college doesn't agree with the legal stance physicians have with cannabis. Makes absolutely no logical sense. Medical cannabis is legal therefore can be prescribed.
There's absolutely no legal means of doing so without passing a law or repealing the entire medical system. Which isnt happening anyway since this is all hypothetical. But hypothetically speaking, what exactly would happen to all the doctors working at LP clinics signing up patients exclusively with LPs if this were in fact true?
Seems you don't understand how it works........ They still answer to the College of Physicians if they're employed as a physician within the province. They're the governing body for ALL physicians within each respective province. Doesn't matter who they work for. Which is why its so easy to spot the faulty logic in thisThose are third part organizations that the college does not over see
That was the college who told me they dont over see these clinics..Seems you don't understand how it works........ You keep making claims with ZERO proof. No glasses here, never needed them. I can see through bullshit without them
But they oversee the doctors who run them. The clinics are actually under the authority of the provincial health care system and are in violation of many of their rules. That was the college who told me they dont over see these clinics..
Like Viannachris mentioned, they dont oversee the clinics themselves but the licensed doctors who work within them. If they are licensed to practice medicine within the province, LP clinic or not they're all overseen by the provinces colleges of physicians. That was the college who told me they dont over see these clinics..
