have the plants shown sex yet?
Not that I can tell as of yet I'm a newbie an I was assuming sex wouldn't show until under the hps they've been under 18/6 since nov 10th-ish just don't want the ones in the back (which I believe to be the sativa dom strain I grew outdoors) to stretch to much once I flip to flower some are telling me to flip very soon others are saying not to :/ I'm repeating week 4 of remo's line cause i'm not sure how much longer to veg and the chart ends at week 4

usually takes 4-8 weeks to show sex, if they show sex then they are ready for flowering.

I'm a newbie so I'm guessing. Just willing to give my 2 cents and not leave you hangin. I mean if your not sure what they are, but if they are sativa, I hear they could triple in size. My guess is these are indicas and would only double if you swap in 2 weeks. Seems logical hps would be hotter since they're red. Maybe hotter both off the ballast and off the light, which is different problems. If you can bend I think you'll be fine switching in 2 weeks. I need to try LST myself. Good luck!
Actually hps run cooler than metal halide bulbs. Wrong info

I wonder about that on both counts. I have hps much less efficient than mh, so either the heat off the ballast or off the light is where the losses go and losses are heat in case you didn't know. And I think hps has more red spectrum, so radiation absorbed by the room creates more heat. Heat lamp is red, fire is red, infrared is heat....etc. But maybe mh is redder if you say so. Anyway, who cares? The guys room is hot.
