UV and seedlings?

I always start them with UVA/UVB. As has been stated. No hardening off, if going outside, and no hardening off if placed in flowering room, and haven't been hardened.

I started using Solacure last year, on a 3 years old Mr Nice SSH plant, and it made a visual, and difference in the high. The weed is noticeably more potent, toke for toke, and gives more of an eye buzz/head buzz vs what the high was before UVA/UVB as being used. Everyone says its more potent, and it also made it taste better.

I also start using 1000w Hortilux HPS, and 2 x 34w Solacure Flower Power bulbs per 4 x 4, and 1000w of light. I use the same in flowering, and at least 18 inches above the canopy. These will penetrate 3 feet, and will burn your eyes out if not careful.

In any given light period, I supply them with 2/3 of the time with UVA/UVB. If on 12 hours, I will let the lights come on with No UV for 2 hours, then have it come on for 6 hours, and then go off 2 hours before HID lights out.

These 34w bulbs are way more powerful than the 54w Arcadia Desert Reptile.. Dragon Bulb, which is the most powerful Reptile bulb made.

These bulbs also have Built In Reflectors, specifically made to reflect UVA/UVB. All the other glass ect is basically junk vs the Solacure, and the others have no built in reflector, which makes them even more inefficient, and UVA/UVB HATES to be reflected, and is usually absorbed, vs being reflected.

The Sola Cure will also work in most any regular 4 ft ballast

Product Description
This is the perfect kit for a single 1000w hood (or equivalent). Just run 4 to 8 hours a day, depending on how close you are to the plants. The are designed to be run at the same level as your hood, so no blocking light. They have their own built in reflector inside the bulb and are guaranteed to increase THC production by 15% to 30%. These aren't the weak little UVB lights that all purpose companies sell, they are 5 to 10 times stronger and designed for professional growers.

Trust us on this: Lamps should be used for the entire flowering season for maximum trichome production and maximum resin production. Lamps are good for up to 3 full flowering seasons.

Lamps are also PROVEN to kill powdery mildew and mold. The Flower Power can do this because it produces light in the 280nm-300nm region, something no other UVB light can do, yet is safe for plants.

This kit has TWO F40T12 Flower Power bulbs plus TWO fixtures designed for all our 4 foot lamps. Everything you need to boost a single hood, to try out our lamps, and see for yourself that Flower Power WILL give you the competitive edge. May be used for any plant, not just cannabis.

Solacure ultraviolet lamps aren't just good, we guarantee they are the best. We don't use stock parts anywhere in our products. Our glass is a special blend, and more transparent to UVA and UVB. Our 32 watt lamps use 60 watt rated cathodes and are tested at almost 70 watts of power. Almost all our lamps have built in reflectors. All are designed to be overdriven to extra high wattages. We test, and test, and test our lamps.

We stand behind everything we sell and guarantee each will perform exactly to specification, or we will replace them. We don't want your business this week, we want it every week, and we are willing to earn it. There really is a difference in quality when it comes to ultraviolet bulbs, and Solacure tops the list.

Why would it be any different? Seriously though, you seem to know something about this already so I'm curious what you might know that would set them aside.
The only people generating results are those that move towards a solar full spectrum, whereas leds took us backwards and missed most of the science on par, cmh has taken us forward into a world of par and how light works in spectrum and as a whole.

Yay another uv experiment but whilst youve been tinkering years of grow science has been hard at producing a light based on what i and others require for superior growth.

So experiment away but the real science is achieving way more niticable results and on a tangent to yours :-)

Ive seen the AM.

From what I gather, the Solacure has the best UVB transmission from 280-300nm vs any other bulb, and this is because the glass is so good. SC has SOL/GLASS make their glass

SolGlass®
The Most Significant Innovation In Tanning Since The Sun
Through the combined research and development efforts of our North American and European operations, LightTech and Light Sources developed SolGlass® – an innovative and proprietary glass technology.

Watch this video for more information on SolGlass® Technology
Glass technology used in fluorescent and tanning lamps is inherently designed to filter out UV rays. Standard glass needs to have both, power (wattage) and UV phosphors to have a noticeable effect on the skin. The “over powering” required to blast enough UV rays through the glass tube’s built-in filter, is the main factor that degrades a conventional lamp’s performance and operating life. Although the industry has been aware of this for some time, no one has been able to come up with a new glass solution until now.

Benefits:

  • SolGlass® Technology is based on the combination of new glass technology and a proprietary phosphor blend.
    • Narrow-band UVA for immediate coloring – instant gratification
    • Short-wavelength UVB for persistent pigmentation – lasting gratification
  • Our “open” glass allows for more effective and efficient UV transmission – especially at the wavelengths which create the greatest tanning effect.
  • No other lamp in the industry has this UVB spectrum and the highest UVA readings. At 300nm, SolGlassTM Technology allows over 75% of the UVB energy to pass through. Typical US tanning lamps allow only about 36%.
  • With SolGlass® your customers can reach unbelievable tanning results. LightTech and Light Sources receive on-going positive feedback from end-users all around the world, who reported excellent results. Our proprietary glass technology not only allows us to meet all US regulations, it also guarantees that we are in alignment with all European regulations, such as 0.3W/m2 sunbed regulation or class 3 sunbed regulation.

Wow, your response started off decent enough but then turned full asshole. It's like I said, I first posted this awhile ago to see if anyone has first hand experience or could point me in that direction. I feel the same about led and use either a mix of hps/mh or full spectrum mh.

That said you are such a ride prick I'm just going to put on avoided now.

I heard about these guys awhile ago. They were openly asking for people to submit proposals for controlled experiments using their Solacure bulbs to help basically crowd source the research on supplementing UV for cannabis growth and they were supporting their bulbs free to people who run a proper comparison in controlled environments.

be warned, they are strong & will fry shit quicky... 75% uvb & 25% uva
I do appreciate the heads up. I'm not sure if that's right though. Let me know if you have more information. UVA is 315nm-400nm for a span of 85nm and UVB is 280nm-315nm for spam of only 35nm. Between that and the spike of output from the bulb in the UVA band I don't think it's possible for the bulb to produce 3x as much UVB. Like I said though if you know more about it I'd like to hear from you about it.

I originally got the 6k and 10k for supplemental lighting in a greenhouse. For veg and full time flower is like to make the switch to cmh (with hps in flower) or the solis tek 4k daylight (spectrum chart below).
ive used those spectrums before, cheap chinese mh bulbs. 14000k which was a violet color, & 5500k for veg & bloom, and i think a 10k finisher. i use cobs now, but i still hang on to the pure uv bulb.

Ya i get that a lot but your born with it in my country so not a lots going to change genetically my end.

We live in a world that seems to be reliving an indoor weed revival. Most of this stuffs been done before way to many times. Anything that worked is now industry standard from ten years ago, the rest is mere hype.

So in this second age of weed encompassed by goverment, big business, med and dispensaries we see a lot of old useless crap dragged back up.

So as said i believe the answer is that no it wont increase plant growth or yeild, its effects on quality miniscule and that most benefits from uv come from its use in a full if not solar spectrum. That comes from every bit of science and grows that i ever seen here.

So rather than block me prove me wrong and get a 30% increase in size with your uv seedlings, if you grow good seedlings then im sure as with mine results are noticable after a week easily.

Maybe you want to crowdfund the rest of the cash on that solar bulb, probably more profit in cmh stocks at the moment as that seems to be running on similar ifo and experience ive given.

Kingrow1 said it wont increase yield/bud size. I agreed. But I don't agree results are miniscule, though I agree it works on some strains, better that others.

I have been debating picking up these lamps from solacure , just wondering if you are still using them?
