Hello everyone.
I have been looking into buying a new light for a small home grow.
I grow maybe 1 or 2 plants, mostly autos.
I have a small grow tent that is 31x31x60
I been looking into a nice mh/hps light.
I just found a mars hydro II 1200w led for very cheap.
The light is less than 100 bucks with free shipping.
They even have a mars 1600w for 115 bucks with free shipping.
Would this light be good for a small grow?

It'll work..... but there are far superior leds for growing. HLG Quantum boards for instance
Maybe ask the same question in the led section and you'll get great advice .
Samsung strips or EB strips are great for diy if you are handy building stuff.
My advice, steer clear of Mars or any other Burple cheap light. :D

I agree with moflow, a HLG 260w kit will light up a 3x3 area really well. But its going to cost you more than those Mars light, although it will perform much better yield wise.

But if your going with a Mars or other blurple aim for 45-50w per square foot of real wattage and ignore the equivalent wattage that they claim.

Hello would one of these lights work for a small scrog inside my tent?
Would I use 3000k or another color start to finish from seed?

I'm with those other guys. Build an LED. The technology has improved a shit load over the years. There are a lot of people on here with a lot more knowledge about building them than I can offer. But I do know that they can be cheaply built and are very efficient, and don't require extensive ducting to cool.

Pay attention to par and actual wattage, if u have 5 ft you'll want higher par, I have a 600watt meizhi that would b perfect for that tent and it has impressive par so u will get a nice yield for sure, I got mine on eBay for 135, But another great light for a good price are maxisun lights and they are dimmable their 450watt 220 actual watts is like 118 bucks and both lights are proven to work very well

Quick likely dumb question? What is the disable feature? I get it dims the light but don't we want strong lighting ? Too strong will burn of course.
