Thanks,I don't think it's necessary to throw stuff away.
I use four items; the mix, calcium nitrate, epsom salt and MKP. The ratios of the materials might change between 4-20-39 and 5-11-26 but nothing else will.
@im4satori care to weigh in? You've done some work on the formulas, there is some interest here in using a different formulation, since the old mix has apparently been discontinued.
I'd get the hobby and then add a bit of MKP (monopotassium phosphate) as needed for bloom. Cheaper, easier, more flexible and controllable this way. Thanks,
i didn't get anything yet. I wouldnt throw away good ferts anyhow
I just meant should i get the hobby 10-8-22 for veg.
Then use the 4-20-39 for bloom is what i was asking.
I really appreciate your guys help for sure
And I have used it in the past.https://www.amazon.com/Jacks-Hydroponic-5-12-26-Professional-25lb/dp/B00IGYTCGA/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1515268097&sr=8-10&keywords=jacks+fertilizer
if you like the 5-11-26 hydro special and they've stopped making it
id switch t this
the numbers are almost identical to the 5-11-26 hydro special except the jacks pro has more magnesium in it so you could void the need for Epsom salt
otherwise its the same thing
I like using epsom salt for the extra sulphur.having said all that
the jack pro I linked above can be mixed exactly the same way as the 5-11-26 hydro special but you wont need the Epsom salt since theres more Mg as a % in the jacks than the is in the 5-11-26 mix
the jacks ends up yielding the same amount of sulfur as the 5-11-26 mixI like using epsom salt for the extra sulphur.
if I was youHey all, smoke here just trying to pick the brains of those more experienced then myself with DRY NUTES. Ive read old threads so here is a new one.
Im Tired of buying bottled water with nutes in it lol. Not saying bottled nutes suck but im done with hydro store markup.
What im looking for.
DRY.
COLORLESS (or as close to).
Options of adding bio stimulants or running sterile ish.
Would like high quality but not paying for useless artist work on heavy to ship bottles that require multiple supplements. Just sayin
If anyone has opinions on the nutes below please let me know.
Been looking at the chem gro 4-20-39 along with their cal nitrate and mag. And any opinions on hydro gardens chem gro formulas
I wouldnt mind getting all the individual salts to make my own but would like to start with a "base" that smarter people then me put together for now lol
Custom hydronutrients has some masterblend for tomatoes.
Kelp 4 less has some formulas as well but i would like to stay with just salts for the moment without kelp unless i add it. (Although I like kelp )
Hydroponics research veg plus bloom. Let me know.
Green leaf nutrients (already heard its not clear)
Jacks hydroponic mix
Maxibloom ( not too interested i want somthing that larger food producing hydro farms use )
Any other companys that have COMPLETE nutrition in dry SOLUBLE form
Thanks all in advance
