Custom cab, great seeds, and a poll...

Howdy folks. There are a lot of firsts for me in this thread... My first truly stealth grow. My first try at an organic, living soil, water only grow. My first grow under my new HLG 135 watt QB.
Due to some unforseen events relating to my new house I get to try my hand at true stealth growing. Been growing for almost 25 years and I'm kind of stoked to have a new set of challenges.
I am building a completely custom grow cab made to look like a speaker cabinet for a bass guitar amp. It will be ~ 4.5ft tall x 2ft wide x 1.5ft deep. Will be growing in a mix of fully amended living soil and coco. Will be run entirely under my new HLG quantum board. The plan is to top and scrog a single plant in this space.
I am also putting up a poll for what strain I will run. My two options right now are Orkle (Purple Urkle x Tahoe OG) by In House Genetics, and Sherb Valley (Valley OG x Sunset Sherbet) by Cannarado. I will be more than happy to run either so I'll let you fine folks decide!
I will put up pics of the custom cab once construction is done and I will be updating this thread regularly once the grow begins.
Super excited to try new things and to have any of you who are interested along for the ride.

Not to thread jack or anything. But I figured I'd post a shot of inside my half ass stealth box.Got a set of 3500k Vero 29C cobs. Powered by a 1.4amp 200w driver. The fan is a 20cm moretti. And the boards up the back are to control fan speed. And digitally switch on the hardware as programmed. The white strip up top is to attach additional controllers for humidity or whatever else that needs to go in there. Oh- and the plants are both Pineapple Chunk.

-Edit- the fan is a tiny 4 incher. With an equally tiny Filtaroo filter.

Once again. Not trying to thread jack. Just wanted to show off how my half ass build went. Maybe you'll get a good idea of what not to do.

I do. It's my first-ish post about growing. "Yields and Cabinets". Ignore the first... 10-15 pages. I had no idea wtf I was doing at that point. So far it's documented my 1st, 2nd, 3rd. And currently 4th efforts. Though, I could do with giving it an update. As I might not have added much since the seedling stage of 4th round.

I don't do water only in my setup. Mine get bokashi juice straight from the bin and gogo juice by neutrog mixed in with 2L of rain water.

Water only grows are my whole world now , it's so easy , and I gravitate towards easy hahaha , and that makes growing so much fun is when the work load is light

I'm going to be running some hotter soil at the bottom of the pot with a lighter mix filling up the rest. A buddy of mine who has really pushed me to try water only uses this method with awesome results. We shall see.

My friend @Humanrob i think has done some grows in fabric pots using hot soil at the bottom,, maybe he has some insight?,, I am using a container called a SIP,,

I wondered the same thing, half of stealth is having a good story, like , it's broken or needs a new fuse

That's hilarious, when I came up with that idea I thought I invented it... but I'm not surprised it's been done. Tim and I have both grown in SIPs, and with that method you make a trench near the bottom of the pot and fill it with time release nutes. My last grow I tried to build off of that idea by mixing time release nutes into the bottom 1/3 of the soil while using standard fabric pots. It worked pretty well, there were about a half dozen different strains and as would be expected they reacted a little differently, but for the most part I didn't have nute burn and they didn't show signs of being hungry either. The only thing I added during the grow was compost tea and cal-mag sometimes when watering. I will definitely continue experimenting with that.
